This bill is a work in progress. We are on the ground and have had the inside track on this legislation from the beginning. We are confident the language that includes prosecuting mothers will be stripped in committee. If the committee fails to do so, we will pull our support.

VP of @StudentsforLife openly saying that will pull support from a bill if they don’t add an immunity clause for women who murder their babies. Either you believe abortion is murder or you don’t. I know Pope and co. have their heads down and are working. I commend it. But the “go quiet” strategy is rarely a great idea. We saw that with Stoops (shortly before he got canned). When there’s a vacuum of news, BBN always finds a way to fill it… for better or (usually) worse.
