This is almost always fixed by earlier bedtimes. We start bedtime at 6:30pm. We know many parents who start at 8:00pm.

I don’t think people realize “trophy hunting” just means “hunting something for sport rather than food”
A vast majority of trophy-hunted animals are deer, ducks, geese, hogs, etc.
Keeping it regulated helps prevent practices like poaching that can lead to extinction

I find most of the conversation around this somewhat bewildering in that people are so narcissistic that they really think they are a special ray of sunshine and need to be fawned over as if they are a monarch?
A birthday is just another day, but its one that your loved ones can use to show that they are thinking about you and expressing their feelings to you but you know what? People dont always know what other people want, people are not mindreaders and people can default to thinking you may like what they like just because they like it themselves.
Normal, fully functional adults would appreciate the effort and gesture and give gratitude while smiling regardless of if they like it or not because they are supposed to be adults.
It also goes both ways, a lot of times guys will get their wives/girlfriends/whatever thinsg they dont like, or take them to events in which the guy wants to share his interests in which she has no interest.
Could the wife in this matter have been using the man babys birthday for her own ends? Sure but she could also have been trying to do something genuine out of love because people dont always say what they really mean and sometimes people dont even know what they want themselves.
People need to grow up and ditch the main character syndrome.
