@LucasBotkin Know who else flinches?
Dan Horner, Max Michel, Rob Leatham, etc etc etc. They just "flinch" at the right time, pointing the gun straight.
Embrace your flinch. Grip the shit out of it, and point it straight. Eventually you'll get the time & force right.
@themarauderproj The middle ground is that 90-95% of Americans live in urban areas and work urban-type jobs. The majority are not bush mountain men these memes make it seem like. Doesn’t mean everyone has to be soft, but thinking everyone will look like/be the guy on the right is lofty thinking.
There's middle ground in this dichotomy, of course. There's various uses for all sorts of gear. And urban guys can have a rural mindset. But preparedness isn't a COD fantasy. The rural preparedness mindset is all about utility and being a legitimate asset to your friends & family
Stuff definitely happens. Sadly, the main thing happening right now is people having to disarm themselves due to the economy. Which isn’t any of those people’s fault, but focusing on building wealth/developing themselves to get higher paid jobs will be the most effective preparedness since it’s more predictable.
@LucasBotkin The problem with "nothing ever happens" is that stuff happens all the time, it's just not the stuff we get excited about. The best prep is still generational wealth lmao
@LucasBotkin Compact tripods are more practical for real world use than these gigantic "lightweight" 2 and 1/2 in thick carbon fiber leg tripods that people think are worth $800. PRS shooters seethe.
