I’ll always think the 2011 Red Sox are the modern collapse standard. Not just because they blew the lead, but because it felt like the entire team was unraveling in public every single night. Bad pitching, weird clubhouse stuff, brutal timing, and then Game 162 somehow made it even worse. The 1964 Phillies might be the historical answer, though. What’s the worst September collapse ever?
