B) A lawyer for the cops would have told them how bad this would be for them. C) Cops in the UK need to be well educated.

The Afroman Trial. -Cops raid Afromans house for bullshit reasons. -Steal money, break his door, fuck his house up. -No criminality found whatsoever, no charges at all pressed on Afroman. -Afroman spends the next 3 years making songs that make fun of all the officers involved by name, even using footage of the raid from his own CCTV cameras. -Songs had titles like "Randy Walters is a son of a bitch" and "Lick Em Low Lisa" accusing one of the officers of being a lesbian and sleeping with the other officers wives. -During the raid one officer looked like he was about to eat some lemon pound cake sitting on Afromans counter, Afroman made a whole album calling the officer fat. -The cops get mad and file a lawsuit for defamation. -Afroman turns up to court in a whole American flag suit. -Officers performatively mald and cry while listening to the songs really trying to oversell how badly the songs upset them. -One officer was suing because Afroman made a whole song about him saying he was fucking the officers wife. When the officer was asked if Afroman was really fucking his wife, he said "I don't know". Nuking his own case and establishing that there is a non-zero chance that Afroman might actually be fucking his wife. -As his only witness for the trial, Afroman brought a deputies EX FUCKING WIFE. -The jury ruled completely in favour of Afroman. This entire thing has been a great win for free speech and absolutely fucking hilarious.

My favorite part was when the officer was on the stand and Afromans attorney asked him if Afroman did sleep with his wife. His options were basically to decline it or say he didn't know (and ruin his case), or admit that Afroman fucked his wife. Lmao I don't think he really thought his case through before filing.

@JyveTech having it fade out at distance is good to hide the tiling and shimmering. also it stops sampling the detail textures after that distance so less work on the gpu

Considering writing a thread about DLSS and frame gen. My feelings are both positive and negative... My thread would likely make everybody angry as these two technologies are such a heated topic nowadays :D

@slipgatecentral @galyonkin Totally expect that. And... it might not be a bad thing. Download a 1gb game, then pick the style you want, and let it create the assets around that theme. Spooky Horror, Hard Sci-Fi, Studio Ghibli. But the risk is that's ALL we get.

Just spoke to @POTUS about our European allies’ unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America. I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what’s at stake. The arrogance of our allies to suggest that Iran with a nuclear weapon is of little concern and that military action to stop the ayatollah from acquiring a nuclear bomb is our problem not theirs is beyond offensive. The European approach to containing the ayatollah’s nuclear ambitions have proven to be a miserable failure. The repercussions of providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning are going to be wide and deep for Europe and America. I consider myself very forward-leaning on supporting alliances, however at a time of real testing like this, it makes me second guess the value of these alliances. I am certain I am not the only senator who feels this way.
