Big gun battleships have been strategically irrelevant (1945-present) for longer than they actually mattered (1906-1945). Aircraft and missles to strike them have only gotten cheaper and easier to guide remotely.

If you look at the heatshield now, yes the vehicle survived, but it has a long while to go before it requires no refurbishment.

@ABabe2563 @ferrari619371 @business there are still plenty of unknowns about starship reuse. We dont know how long a ship will take to get ready for flight again. That is a fact. Elon himself stated that this heatshield is one of the most difficult parts of the entire vehicle architecture.

I think we speak for the whole OSINT community when we say that Google should revert this change immediately. We’ve already seen AI-generated satellite imagery flooding the information space. This is irresponsible and adds nothing of value. Google Earth’s new AI image generation feature needs to be removed.
