While I did want to highlight how women perpetuate body standards, at the end of the show the character says that it isn't her mom's fault and that they're both caught up in a vicious cycle. Maybe that wasn't clear enough but that was my intention 🙏

Quick review: Spin at @arcolatheatre with @K8Sumpter was incredible. Energetic performance, cleverly written. My only criticism: can we please for once have a piece of art about eating disorders that doesn’t blame the mother?

I rarely recommend shows but if you are up in Edinburgh, this is an incredibly moving, fast paced, witty, FUNNY commentary on toxic fitness culture. Such a great piece, go and support @K8Sumpter if you can! 🚴💗

@GonzoMagazineUK My solo show Spin! Scotsman gives 4 stars and specifically called it dark #certified 😂 It's about toxic fitness culture and I perform it on a spin bike. We were also just nominated for an Off West End award for best play! 2:20 at Gilded Balloon every day!
