Our Economic Empowerment Program concluded its summer session with a potluck celebration to commemorate the growth and dedicated work of our students this summer. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible instructors, and check out the handmade jackets made by our sewing class!

Thank you to @VIP_IN_NYC, @KAFSCNY, @NYCAASA, @SakhiNYC, @Sauti_Yetu, and @iamwomankind for setting the record straight about our City's sanctuary policies. These policies support survivors of sexual and domestic violence and help ensure the safety of all New Yorkers.

Today, KAFSC was at Queens Center Mall with the office of @NYAssemblyCruz assisting with voter registration. Be sure to update your information so you can exercise your civic rights in the upcoming election on Tuesday, November 5th.

Inspiring energy today at the rally led by youth against sexual assault in Queens. New York is the only state in the country with an agency dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault and abuse — and we will continue to lead the way in this battle.

This morning we joined @KAFSCNY at a Rally in Murray Hill to spread awareness about sexual violence and support survivors. AAF is deeply grateful for KAFSC's unwavering commitment to our community, providing survivors with shelter, safety, and the tools for recovery and healing.

This morning, we gathered in Flushing and joined the rally against sexual assault. We stand with survivors and uplift the voices of survivors.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and the @KAFSCNY Youth Community Project Team has been calling attention to gender-based violence and prevention tactics for our youth. As the month comes to a close, I joined them for their Rally Against Sexual Assault in Murray Hill.
