Easter,good tidings! Excited to release the Kenya Tourism Sector Performance Report 2025~a testament to the true meaning of resilience, recovery, and remarkable growth. We're pleased to note that in the last one year, Kenya has recorded a notable Ksh 0.5 trillion in tourism earnings and welcomed a historic 7.9 million visitors, including 2.7 million international arrivals and a strong 5.2 million domestic travelers. Notably, our international arrivals grew by 9%, more than double the global average which signals renewed confidence in Kenya as a preferred global destination. It's undeniable that domestic tourism continues to be a vital pillar which sustains demand and cushions the sector against external shocks. Our diversified tourism portfolio; spanning leisure, business, and social travel further strengthens our resilience. The United States of America remains our leading source market, while we continue stretching into emerging markets like India and China while leveraging on our continental visitors. These gains reflect deliberate investments in destination brand marketing, improved connectivity, enhanced visitor experience through initiatives like the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), and strong collaborations across stakeholders.
