When I learn of sports writers disseminating inaccurate information, I find it deeply concerning and believe that such actions should result in termination of employment. Sabotaging a young athlete’s career and spreading falsehoods are unacceptable behaviors. It is imperative that writers conduct thorough research and adhere to professional standards in their work. If they are unable to do so, they should refrain from writing altogether.
