@thatguydte @WadexFlash Best two players on the court generally win, especially when one of those two is considered the best in the world at that moment.

@KCLRBeck @WadexFlash Stop playing that heat roster was not touching the mavs. Besides James, wade, and Bosh they had nothing for the mavs. The mavs were built to beat the Heat’s roster that year.

The HEAT Realm@WadexFlash·
Dwyane Wade on why they lost to the Mavs in the 2011 NBA Finals👀 “This is a very good Dallas Mavericks team…Jason Terry probably could’ve been Finals MVP outside of Dirk…Bron had to guard JT — Bron can guard almost anybody but it’s hard to guard the dude moving all-around…we had a team that was still trying to find our identity…you talking about a young Miami Heat team trying to figure it all out with Spo being 3 years on the sideline. Let’s not act like we were supposed to win that finals. Yes — we thought we were going to win it because that’s how cocky people say we were…we did crumble in game 2 because we wasn’t battle tested yet…Mavs had one of the greatest players of all time — like Dirk is one of the greatest to ever touch a basketball so he wasn’t go nowhere…” (via @wynetwork)
The HEAT Realm@WadexFlash

Dwyane Wade SHUTS DOWN the 2006 Finals rigged claims from Mark Cuban and the Mavs fans: “Mark stop saying that — we beat yall. Did we get some foul calls? Everybody gets foul calls — I can go back and point to 2011 when one of them series Dirk had 48 — he had 24 free throws…it wasn’t rigged we still had to play the game…did I get a few whistles? Yes but was I the only one attacking the basket every play? Probably so I’m going to get some whistles too, I’m going to get some calls — they were fouling let’s not act like this. You’re not about to tarnish the work I put in as a young guy…” (via @wynetwork)

@ChefDoomy I got those preorder ALD. Kept them DS til a couple weeks ago. Mine have a defect in the sole. The loudest squeak you’ve ever heard on sneakers. Tried wearing them around to “break them in”. No change. Cobbler says the sole is poorly attached. Contacted ALD, they offered me $23.

@thatguydte @WadexFlash You could argue the Heat were deeper than the Mavs. At worst they were pretty even in terms of depth. And the Heat still had the best two players on the court, and the fourth best player on the court.

@thatguydte @WadexFlash Did you even watch the finals? Chandler and his 9.7/8.8 stat line was unstoppable? lol. Come on. Kidd was good, not great. And there was no one on that roster that should have been able to stop prime LeBron. LeBron should have taken it on himself to lock up either Dirk or JT.

@thatguydte @WadexFlash lol, 35 year old Zo and 37yo Payton. They played 7 men on rotation for most of the series. That’s not deep.

@thatguydte @WadexFlash Stop. Wade beat prime Dirk and prime Terry basically on his own in 06. 6 years later they lose to 34 yr old Dirk and 35yr old 6th man Terry with the best player in the game and a top 10 player in Bosh. They looked unstoppable during the season. They should have swept the Mavs.

@WadexFlash A lot of y’all sound stupid. That heat team was lucky to actually make it to the finals that year if we’re being honest. Filled with flaws. Other than LeBron, Wade, and Bosh, there was really nothing. No good center, no bench. The mavericks were never going to lose to them.

@WadexFlash Not battle tested??? Wade beat prime Dirk and prime Terry in 06 in the finals with geriatric Shaq as his #2. LeBron played in the finals in 07. LeBron was supposed to be the best player in the league. He should have dominated 6h man Terry. LeBron choked. No excuses. Embarrassing.

Once you’re past 35, are you just going to keep being gradually more tired every year for the rest of your life or is a there a second wind somewhere? Anybody suddenly stumble upon newfound energy in their 40s? 50s? 60s, maybe with retirement? Naturally, no HRT or hacks

@KariDaniels I’ve been doing it daily since April 1. Working my way up as high as I can. I’m at 10.0 at 3.0 for 30 comfortably. Changed my diet. Far from shredded, but I have lost 16lb so far, and my heart has never been stronger, at least according to my vo2 max and resting heart rate.

Wemby has a legit chance to go down as the greatest player EVER and I will embrace it. That's the difference between LeBron fans and MJ fans. As a LeBron fan I have no problem giving Wemby his flowers. I'm not upset that he's going to be an all-time great as long as he stays healthy. I'm not going to be upset if he turns out to be the greatest player we've ever seen. MJ fans will give him his flowers but they've already decided he can't be better than MJ. They did the same thing with LeBron and they'll do it to Wemby too. They can't accept the fact that a player can be better than MJ. I won't be mad if Wemby turns out to be the greatest ever and I have an open mind about it. MJ fans live in this world where no matter what, you can never be better than their favorite player. That's how a 12 year old thinks. MJ fans simply can't let go of their childhood nostalgia. But at some time you need to grow up and open your mind.

REPORT: Every NBA contending team out of the playoffs has made a call to LeBron James, per @ShamsCharania. LeBron also would reportedly be willing to take the minimum with any championship contender if it meant an easier path to a championship. 👀

@PONTA6565 Nah he’s gotta win at least 3 before he starts getting 🐐 talk. He might start getting some top 10 talk if he gets one this year, beating the defending champs and reigning back to back MVP.

♣️ Jokic & MJ ♦️ GOATs
◆ Future GOAT Debate Prediction If the Spurs win the championship: ① Wembanyama will emerge as a major topic in the media and among fans — a player who forces everyone to re-evaluate the criteria used in the GOAT conversation. ・Points of comparison will include: • Size and physical dominance • Two-way impact (offense + defense) • Projected career awards and accolades In this scenario, LeBron will be easily excluded from the top-tier discussion. Wembanyama is a true two-way monster, so the debate will heat up between him and MJ (who leads all-time in PPG and SPG). People will compare their defensive impact in very different contexts — MJ’s steals versus Wemby’s elite shot-blocking — while still acknowledging the unique nature of each. As for LeBron, he’ll be treated as a “center-like power forward,” making the talent gap feel too large to even seriously debate (especially in rebounding, blocks, and size). The only remaining argument in his favor might be assists. Overall, I expect the basketball world (and media) to follow their usual pattern: center the conversation around MJ, naturally phase LeBron out (the Kareem/Jabbar treatment), and shift the main GOAT debate into a MJ vs. Wembanyama showdown.
