It’s critical when I microboost/SIB and in reirradiation. When learning MRI contouring, I did internal comparisons by contouring the same images 3-4x to see if I was even consistent. Consistency≠accuracy, but it sets foundation for PI

@jryckman3 My cheap solution has always been to put screenshots of critical isodose setups, sometimes DVH, and other treatment images or dose panel in my treatment summaries. There’s a little bit of grunt work involved , but I am choosing / filtering what is communicated.

@KColvett Maybe this way with history of RT to the foot-only for example they wouldn’t call radiation pneumonitis though, I will not confirm or deny whether this was a real world scenario 😇

1/ A very real problem in modern radiation oncology: The treatment plan is often highly detailed. The hospital record is often not. The TPS knows exactly what we treated, where we treated it, and to what dose. But much of that context never leaves the bunker. #ESTRO26 #RadOnc
Jeff Ryckman@jryckman3

6/ Radiology has PACS. Radiation oncology really does not. Our TPS does an amazing job planning dose. But we lack the hospital-wide communication layer that lets any clinician understand: What was treated? Where? To what dose? With what expected imaging change?

@coachprburkhead I’m at least 20 years older. ACL injuries have always been around but in the old days you got a big zipper scar and you just might be finished playing sports. The fact players can rehab and come back makes them seem more visible/common.

Need some input from other coaches out there. I honestly don’t recall anyone ever tearing an ACL when I was in HS (mid-2000s). Why are they so prevalent now? My two theories: No one rides bikes No one jumps on trampolines. Or could it be the playing surfaces?

One could imagine we might not even have #radonc as its own separate residency were it not for this (heme onc) fellow Fisher's mildly acerbic editorial written in response to some "rad onc ramblings" is a fun thing to come back to from time to time ascopubs.org/doi/full/10.12…

Lets bring #MedTwitter back! Introducing #HemeOncHeroes ➡️ a series about the pioneers, rebels, and visionaries who changed hematology and oncology forever! Lets dive in 👇 #HemeOncHeroes series. Story #1 In 1994, his own institutions fired him in a single week. He was 76 years old. The University of Pittsburgh fired him. The NCI fired him. He had spent forty years proving that almost every breast cancer surgery for a century had been pointless. He was right. 🧵 1/15
