400 people played in this tournament. At what point is it fair to say I “bubbled” if I bust before the money?

@DGrunsgood @tsarrast LeBron elevates his teammates at a level none of the other GOAT candidates can do. His presence alone is enough to give a team a chance. I’ve come to realise we’ll never really know for sure, but gun to my head if I need someone to win a playoff game I’m taking LeBron James.

@KDogPoker @tsarrast MJs game would adapt well. Its not like he was a paint dominating big. He would of sharpened the 3pt game up. Kobe was close enough to kinda gap the eras to show us and MJ was better then Kobe. Ofc its not to take away from LBJ. Its not like i dont see the case for him

Ok, for all the reply-guys in my last post. Here is why MJ is the GOAT if you are comparing peaks. It isn't just fact that he never choked in the finals. That he was the best winner we have seen at the top of a sport. The best closer, competitor.. yada, yada, yada... That he won 6 chips, basically in a row. Or any of the stuff most people usually say. Most people arguing against Jordan use stats, but the truth is if you actually know how to use stats - stats just cement the case. basketball-reference.com/players/j/jord… basketball-reference.com/players/j/jame… I'm only looking at playoff stats. Because the playoffs are all that really matters at the end of the day. If you control for pace, and look at their per 100 possession stats, you will see that Jordan averaged 44 pts /100pos in the playoffs from 86-98 (every season but the first one). Don't just skip over these 44pts /100poss on great efficiency here. This is a jaw-dropping outlier of a stat. Prime Shaq one time was over 40 and averaged around 37. Kobe not even close. LBJ has one playoff season where he is over that average (08-09), and if you take off a few of these Lakers seasons that bring his avg down to 36.6, his prime is probably 37-38. MJ is scoring significantly more than LBJ on similar efficiency. MJ also has better FT% & steals. LBJ has more reb, asts... also more TO. 3p% & blocks are v close. Advanced stats for both in the playoffs are incredible. You could make arguments either way, but let's call it a push. Purely statistically, Jordan has slightly better pace-adjusted playoff stats. So there we are. Basically all informed LBJ arguments come down to career totality OR the fact that the league is better now. But arguments like that are structurally unfair for the past. Jordan was in his playing age when he was. You can only compare someone relative to their eras. As great as LBJ is, and he's incredible - Jordan also dominated his era unlike anyone has in modern basketball. Jordan has an intangible edge (which is what most people argue) to throw on top of what I view as a slight statistical one. It was like he just kept building until he got the break through (the Pistons). Then he was on top until he quit. When he was on top - he never let go of the league's throat. He never let one go in the finals to Dirk's Mavs with the better team. Is the gap super wide? No, it isn't. And I don't think having LBJ #1 is super unreasonable - esp if you claim that career totality is much more important to you. But peak MJ is the best basketball player (relative to his time) that has ever existed. And he did it for long enough that career totality isn't dethroning him on my list. I value peak most when making my all-time list. LBJ is a very clear #2 though and quite a bit ahead of Kareem who is #3 for me.

MJ is the GOAT, but LeBron has had the best career start to finish. What he’s doing at 41 is inspiring. What an absolute unit. Lake Show up 3-0. Them getting their guys back and playing OKC healthy 🤞 is so much more interesting.

Are you really a poker player if you haven’t played a 24hour session in your life? I mean those stories of guys having 3-4 day sessions is pretty excessive (they must have smelled like absolute dog) Never done that before (hopefully never will) But 24hrs is totally reasonable and a milestone every poker player needs to hit at least once in their life

@lowstakesdre I recommend not doing this kind of thing. The other players are just there to play and might not want to be recorded while they do so. I try to not include anyone’s faces in my stuff but if you make videos with these glasses that’s not really feasible.

@DColpoys23 @dankness3 Honestly maybe yeah. My dream is that all these guys that came here the past few months see that they’re mostly just playing vs other Euros so they won’t come back on their next trip and will spread the word to their friends.

@DColpoys23 @dankness3 Yeah I know for me personally I can just play private and not gaf but it would be better for everybody as a whole if clubs just started making international pros apply to play which they can do in Texas (I don’t think this is possible in any casino rooms).

@KDogPoker @dankness3 Yeah cause they stare and slow the games. The fish don't start losing more to restock the middle tier regs win rates the best players in the game just take more. Seems like if u have access to the recs and they don't have access to privates the solution is in front of u.

@DColpoys23 @dankness3 I’ll wear the bad reg badge proudly but I don’t agree that dudes like me are the hardest hit. Most recs stopped playing 2/5 (which is still “low” stakes) and almost without exception they cite the amount of Euros as the reason. Most of them don’t have access to private games also

@dankness3 The funniest part of this is his assumption that the losing players lose more when in reality the bad regs like him are the ones that take the biggest hit. @KDogPoker

@RobGardnerLive @WSOP @PokerGO @PokerNews @pokerorg @ClubWPT The most viral poker videos are either cheating scandals or famous TV era pros. So every media outlet jumps at that for views, and now they’re still stuck doing that because they didn’t promote rising stars along the way like Jesse Lonis or Stephen Song who are super entertaining

Poker needs more alphas. The percentage of physically fit alpha males and females seems to drop every tournament, along with prize pools and guarantees. People want to see more bad asses, and less Deebs. Do a “Poker Alpha” tournament and watch what happens to the field size.
