The story of a programmer trying to get a printer to work again: First 8 months -> update drivers, code custom scripts, and clean out printer like a maniac - still not working Last night -> give up and slam the printer in frustration, a cashew rolls out - printer now works 🤦🏾‍♂️

@jamesqquick When I setup a flow like this, I prefer AI code on some local machine because it can run apps and build proper validation loops to improve output. I’m using OpenClaw + heartbeat task with local env setup on a dedicated Mac (not my main). Definitely don’t need OC for this though.

Whats your current setup for running code focused cloud agents? Specifically, a setup to take tickets/issues and create a pr. All in the cloud.

@jamesqquick First I setup somewhere to write the tickets/bugs/features: either Jira or GitHub Issues currently for me Then I automate checking the tickets with scheduled tasks in Claude/Codex, or using OpenClaw + heartbeat task (that’s not fully cloud though).

I don’t care how long you’ve been developing software, every now and then you’ll still run into areas that will make you feel like you are just getting started.

2 tips for tech interview “behavioral” questions: 1\. Write down your experiences — it will help with rambling, and to better derive the value in them 2\. Use the S.T.A.R. method: Situation, Task, Action, and Result — make sure to focus on YOUR actions taken, and CLEAR results

Remote working and isolated coding seems to fit a lot of software developer personalities, but I believe that person-to-person interaction is very healthy/needed for us too.

The key here is the difference between an MVP a non-technical person vibe coded, versus a version that a professional software engineer vibe codes. The difference is vastly underestimated these days because the tools are “so good”. The context, instruction, and guidance that a

Most people aren't directly rooting against you. They are rooting against the envy they feel right now, or fearing the future envy they'll have once you've succeeded. Don’t worry about it, just keep going. ✌🏾

I think good tools should reduce both retyping and decision fatigue. That is the lane I want Snippeta to keep earning on iPhone, Android, and Mac.

The shift that helped me most was treating repeated text like a workflow tool, not just random clipboard history. Once I started saving the useful stuff on purpose, reuse got way easier.

A small productivity rule I keep coming back to: if you type it often, it should probably become a reusable asset. Links, replies, prompts, intros, and common phrases are easier to improve once than to rewrite forever.
