Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book/It took me years to write, will you take a look?
Steve Brusatte@SteveBrusatte

Happy publication day to @PeterBrannen1! The Story of CO2 is the Story of Everything. And really, it is. This book is astounding, weaving together the whole history of Earth with our modern climate predicament. If you're into science, history, politics...check it out!

NPR is not state affiliated media. It is public media. The NYT is not propaganda. It is the most robust news organization in the English speaking world. The bias as to who is being targeted on this site by its leadership is so very clear. And it’s not a small thing.

Of all kids 0-14 years-old worldwide who are injured by guns, 87% live in the US. In fact, gun injury is the leading cause of death among children and adolescents in the US. This is a public health tragedy, why are we not outraged and doing something meaningful about it?

@KHCourage Slightly different McPhee, but loved Coming into the Country, all about Alaska. When it comes to general nonfiction also have to recommend The Swerve by Stephen Greenblatt if you haven't read it!

I am now obsessed with this time I hadn't known about: "when the giant planets went dynamically unstable." Also with the adorable little rocks known as "planetesimals" (which could also absolutely destroy us)
Brian Gallagher@bsgallagher

It's trippy to think about how so many years ago the solar system looked VERY different. And that includes Ceres, the intriguing dwarf planet cruising the asteroid belt. It used to be as far out as Pluto! Here's how it survived the long trek toward us. nautil.us/the-dwarf-plan…
