New paper! We look at ocean conditions in the Gulf of Alaska/N. Pacific during the last glacial/deglacial to try and discern whether certain time periods were more/less favorable for human movement along the coastal route from Beringia into N. America: pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

I also thought I’d mention that the ages for human presence at @WhiteSandNps are compatible with one of our proposed ‘viable time windows’ for a coastal migration. We highlighted the interval between 24,500-22,000 yr ago as one such window. pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

One of my favorite finds in #Rome after #INQUARoma2023 wrapped up, was the Pietro Canonica museum in the @VillaBorghese. The funerary monuments (such as The Gust of Wind) were particularly haunting, and #TheAbyss sculpture was truly a masterpiece. Plus I was the only one there!
