Guehi is absolutely England’s best reader of the game at CB. He reads when to challenge and when to stand up in 1v1s. He reads when he can nick in front of attackers and pinch the ball. He reads space better than the others (right side of defence defending Argentina crosses was a calamity, Guehi defending his things well). It should be a Guehi-Colwill CB partnership for the Euros.

Idk I think Rice gets such a harsh time, He’s WC Defensively, Physically & Reading the play. He is a competent passer but lacks the Football IQ to run games in controlled way, He runs them in a front foot aggressive style.. If he’s not WC he’s pretty close🤣 Pair w/ a Controller

So again, Rice good first half made to look better by lack of intensity from France but rices reading + athleticism sets him apart BUT the reason he’s not in that elite elite conversation and needs to be beside a controller is this second half… no idea how to run a game
