This morning, I joined President William Samoei Ruto @WilliamsRuto for a meeting with representatives of the Kenyan diaspora from 40 countries at State House Nairobi. The President commended them for being excellent ambassadors of our country, noting that many organisations continue to give sterling accounts of their hard work, consistency, reliability, and dependability. President Ruto’s leadership, has made it easier for the Kenyan diaspora to engage with the government back home, own property under the Affordable Housing Programme through the Boma Yangu portal, and support their families by paying for medical insurance through the Social Health Authority. The government through President Ruto’s leadership, is mobilising Kenyans to secure jobs overseas. In the past three years, 540,000 Kenyans have found employment abroad following the streamlining of the sector and the elimination of fraudsters.
