USF football has been trending upward while UCF has been a forgotten dumpster fire over the last three years. UCF acts like they’re too good to schedule us, when realistically we’d be doing them a favor by giving them a relevant in-state matchup again. At this point, odds are UCF finishes in the bottom half of the Big 12 again while USF is getting national attention for competing for a G6 playoff spot. Now add in one of the biggest offseason head coaching hires in the country, a new on-campus stadium on the way, and growing buzz around USF eventually landing another power conference invite. The trajectories of these two programs are going in completely different directions. UCF better schedule the series now before they lose the opportunity altogether.

Since central florida left the American, USF has been more relevant on the college athletic scene than central florida. You heard absolutely nothing about their football team last season.

@AthlonSports Notre Dame only scheduled the "home-home" with the cows because usf was willing to be a last minute fill-in for a ND home game cancelled due to COVID in 2020. So, in reality, it was TWO games at ND and ONE in Tampa. If usf wants to do 2 at UCF and 1 at Ray Jay, that's OK.

@Bull_Disclosure UCF's offer to schedule one game is far more generous than the cows refusal to schedule even a single game (outside of the ones you were forced to agree to for leaving CUSA) between 1997 and 2012. Get off your high horse.

@TheUSFWizard @CFBKnights I don't care what fancy title he was given to make him feel good about himself. He is the equivalent of an AD. My point was that it was not UCF that started talking about renewing the series, so why blame UCF fans for it.

@KKueker @CFBKnights I can tell you didn't read the original article for 2 reasons: #1 his title is CEO of Athletics and not AD. It was explained #2 the person writing the article brought up the scheduling and asked the questions and Rob answered.

The thing that’s so funny to me about this whole War on I4 drama is that I KNOW FOR A FACT if the roles were reversed and UCF was still in the aac and usf was in the BIG12 I know for a fact those guys would have ZERO INTEREST in playing us 😂
