It’s not bad enough that we have to watch Free Palestine protests all over the world today, as the Jewish community mourns the worst massacre since the Holocaust; now we also have to read the fake, hypocritical “messages” about October 7? Macron, Mamdani, Amnesty, and so many others, all speaking about October 7, sending their thoughts and prayers without even mentioning Hamas or Israel. All using our pain and our dead as a chance to draw false parallels with Gaza. For two years, we’ve been told that Gaza’s suffering is worse. That 251 hostages are not reason enough for war. That we must seek peace now, no matter if Hamas stays on our borders, ready for a second October 7, no matter the hostages they still hold. “Peace” first. Our lives, our suffering, second. One day a year, that’s all we ask. One single day to mourn in peace. And you don’t even have the decency to give us that. Jews don’t exist to ease your conscience or make you feel righteous. So take your empty words, and let us cry in peace today.
