Mammoth fixtures in the Champions League semi-finals against one of the hardest teams to play against in world football. Sandwiched in between Newcastle (a top team with Bruno Guimarães returning), Fulham (another top team), and West Ham in form + fighting for the lives. Tough.

I hate to praise refs but I thought Anthony Taylor got basically everything right today. Allowed it to be a proper contest. Thought the yellow on Mosquera was harsh and really hindered him vs. Doku. That aside, can’t complain.

Ref should see it's a straight red for Gabriel. VAR is pointless if it isn't correcting that very clear and very obvious error. Retrospective red should happen but probably won't meaning Gabriel won't serve a 3 game ban. That huge error could play a huge part in the title run in

Much will depend on what Anthony Taylor told the VAR he saw. If the referee described it as we saw and chose a yellow, there's not much the VAR can do. But that's a red for me. Another case where the outcome is probably different had the opponent "played up" to it. #MCIARS
