💢 Drop Site News’ Ryan Grim spoke directly with political streamer Hasan Piker and Code Pink’s Medea Benjamin, both of whom said they have not been subpoenaed, contradicting a recent Fox News report claiming federal officials had served them subpoenas over recent trips to Cuba. Fox News reported that the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) had issued “administrative subpoenas” as part of a broader sanctions-related investigation into activists involved in humanitarian aid convoys to Cuba. Piker has previously publicly said he learned about the alleged probe through media reports and had not been contacted by the government.
