The most important time is the day after the apology so here is my "To Do" list for the Catholic Church, the Holy See and @Pontifex

Alicia Elliott - AND THEN SHE FELL out now!
I hope that residential school survivors who worked tirelessly for this apology feel some sort of relief. They deserve it. Remember, though: this is only the start of what is needed for reconciliation, and only one of the 94 Calls to Action in the TRC Report. It isn't the end.

As I seem to be on a @realsarahpolley kick, here's a prescient sentence from an op-ed early in the #MeToo movement: "I hope that when this moment of noisy sisterhood dissipates, it doesn’t end with a woman in a courtroom, being made to look crazy, as these stories so often do."

Often we face a mountain of demands so we just work harder & harder. Yet if we were able to take some time out to look at the work & find better ways of doing it, we might work so much smarter. Creating the space to innovate is just as valuable use of time as doing the core work.

This weekend marks a holy trifecta for the Abrahmic faiths. Happy Ramadan, Happy Easter, and Happy Passover. May we all work together for a world based in peace and renewal. ❤️❤️❤️

Canadian Olympic athletes who won medals in either Tokyo or Beijing are being financially rewarded for their efforts — $20,000 for a gold, $15,000 for a silver and $10,000 for a bronze Canadian Paralympians who reached the podium in those same Games won't receive a single dollar

GOOD NEWS: Canada is prepared to welcome an “unlimited” number of refugees fleeing war in Ukraine. You know what would be even BETTER NEWS? If Canada was prepared to welcome an “unlimited” number of refugees fleeing war from ANY country.

Hello, Ottawa. Earlier today, many of us saw tweets about a situation at the Rideau Centre. Recently, we learned the police operation is now over (though the investigation is ongoing). While this is indeed welcome news, we'd like to take a moment to address something. (1/4)

To all the journalists working this weekend—amid hostile crowds and an ever-changing situation—to keep Canadians informed, thank you. And thank you to the newsroom leaders watching out for their safety.

no no the truckers convoy do not get credit for the lifting of restrictions. it’s the millions of Canadians that stepped up for each other over the past two years and sacrificed so much to keep people they may never meet alive.

To be clear💉does reduce transmission and protect well against severe COVID. Protection decreases in Omicron but is still significant. Think about it like a seatbelt and car accidents:would you still tell your child to buckle up even though seatbelts don’t prevent 💯% deaths?
