@SummrWrites @emilykmay I don’t think she was implying it should be depicted as “beautiful” in media? It’s a really hard thing for everyone involved and maybe if kids saw other kids struggling with the emotions of it it could help them feel less alone. That’s a good thing!

@clhubes Whattt?!?! I personally was shocked that people wrap stocking gifts (I thought that was the point of the stocking to act like a “bag”?) but never in a million years would we be allowed to open stockings/gifts solo. It’s a family event!

@CartoonsHateHer @realfemsapien Same! I always wear hats & sunglasses because my eyes are terribly light sensitive so that’s helped ward off the wrinkles, but it’s only a matter of time. Can’t say I’ll never do it but it feels so scary to inject poison in your face 😵‍💫

@EliMcCann My little sister is 5+ years younger than me and caught on to “Santa isn’t real” fairly young, so she slept with me on Christmas Eve so I could claim I “heard the reindeer” while my parents prepped downstairs. We carried this tradition into our 20’s ♥️

Our Christmas tradition when I was young (the 90s): my 3 sisters and I would all sleep in the same room on Christmas Eve. We would bring in a small tv and put on old Christmas movies and stay awake as long as we could. These are still my favorite holiday memories. What are yours?

almost everyone should be able to breastfeed but they make excuses because they're afraid of their biology, want control over their time, and have no culture that emphasizes how to do it. 99% of mother's bodies and babies mouths are compatible, biologically speaking.

@clhubes I think so much of it has to do with the cost of land. I live in Orange County (CA) and we do have *some* kid friendly spaces, but space is just such a precious commodity that parks, etc. aren’t prioritized. Would love better options for families!
