@Codeforged_One @TemplarsRoar This steals from the internet, still cannot be copyrighted, let me educate you a little bit, coming from a technical degree in IT, AI operates as a database, means it stores inputs and averages them to output you a result, meaning you will never create anything new to offer.
English

"I hate on AI because I am an artist"
Exactly. It's performative outrage because your "job" got outsourced to a computer that can do it, likely better, at a more affordable price and in less time. Instead of adapting and learning this amazing tool, you people believe you can "boycott AI." You're losing that fight, brother.
English

@Codeforged_One @TemplarsRoar and how will you train your thing for art? By stealing someone else's work that you cant even copyright?
English

A single GPU, like a RTX 5080 can run a 30 to 35 billion parameter model on a home machine.
Install Ollama or your equivalent choice, then the model that specializes in what you want. Then any Low Rank Adapters for customization and tuning and you're set.
Literally you can set this up in an hour or two right NOW.
English

@Codeforged_One @TemplarsRoar How will you run your models? Do you have enough to run a server to train?
English

@KevinMD_SFX @TemplarsRoar What will I do?
Run my own models locally of course. LOL
This is textbook desperation in the face of a battle that's already well lost and over.
English

@totalwarsam242 @TemplarsRoar About this, its not about you not being super creative, its you not thinking hard about it, get references from pinterest.
English

@KevinMD_SFX @TemplarsRoar I’m back and fourth on it I play a ton of dnd and kinda use ai art for an idea for a character and then normally commissions someone to make it.
I’m not super creative and have an idea in mind but can’t spell it out completely. Then one artist gave me death threats for using ai.
English

@totalwarsam242 @TemplarsRoar this is why the sketch phase is for, you don't need to pay for additional revisions in the sketch phase. If you mean that you can't decide then thats on you, but you won't be better off with AI.
English

@KevinMD_SFX @TemplarsRoar So I stop going to artist at that point happened 3-4 times in a row. Some of use can’t afford revisions.

@netangelyuri even if it is murder idgaf because i prioritize a womans life over a fetus that is basically just a blob
English

@Ryakishou This is a sponsorship, not a commission and also, all of the work will be posted on their channels and thank you.

@KevinMD_SFX Minimum following 40k is crazy when some of the most insane musicians i know are underrated small creators… but whatever works for you i guess. Good luck

@CaptainCabinetz For clear context, AI is not used in Kuro Games' products like these. The effect that looks suspicious is "blocking" it's an art method to quickly map out the landscape and the general looks of the image. Likely they left it on the wrong layer in render.
English

Hi, I was a brand concept artist!
I’m genuinely not trying to be a Kurobot here, but a lot of what you say looks “AI” we call “blocking” - which means using simple shapes / colours so we get an idea of where details will go later.
This is especially obvious in the traffic lights & bullets on the ground. The effects coming off the gun also. The shapes are simple, and single coloured for ease.
I’m not going to be blinded by the reality that I personally believe all of these companies will use AI in their concept work, but some of these details genuinely look like blocking and they used the wrong layers on the final rendered image with the text.
AI would not make the traffic lights look like that, honestly they’d do a better job than blocking does. 🥹

peak@schizohealer
Yep, you're right. They probably accidentally uploaded their AI reference image or some shit. I thought only NTE used AI? Lmao. This is very obviously AI and it's on their official account. Get used to it people, games WILL use AI going forward.
English

@Merrydawg Most people don't realize the true cost of AI, would you still pay for an AI if it was $200 a month? And what do you do when theres no artist to show behind the scenes or promote the project?
English

Some people have called me "performative" for being against the use of AI art and animation. I'm the CEO of an art studio, and I'd stand to save a lot of money if I just replaced every artist with AI. And yet, I don't. Because it's the wrong thing to do. I believe it's healthier for the industry and for our company to preserve the sanctity of human labour and creativity in lieu of cheap shortcuts.
Some say, "Oh, so you'd advocate against cars to preserve horses?" That's a false equivalency. I'd advocate against replacing horses if your alternative to a horse was an AI horse that was faster, but hallucinated roads that don't exist and needed thrice the food.
We should seek to preserve human labour in every way we can. Maybe AI has uses in some fields to reduce workloads for professionals, but I do not believe that field should be the world of entertainment and the arts.
The purpose of automation should be to lessen the workload for the jobs we do not want to do, to give us all time and resources to focus on pursuing the passions that we love. We shouldn't automate art so we have more time for labour. It is backwards and will lead to a worse world.
