We encourage consideration of the full phenological distribution when studying population #phenology and hope this method will have broad use in climate change ecology research e.g. studying other traits/fitness/environmental variables or in modelling thermal performance curves.

6/6 #BOU2023 #SESH7 This work presents a new conceptual framework for considering how full phenological distributions can interact, with broad applicability and potential implications for estimating population fitness and both stabilising and directional selection on timing.

5/6 #BOU2023 #SESH7 There is substantial spatiotemporal variation in the phenological distribution of caterpillars and therefore, we anticipate incorporating all parameters of the distribution into analyses of temporal trophic interactions will be of great value.

1/6 #BOU2023 #SESH7 The match/mismatch hypothesis (MMH) mainly focuses on the fitness consequences of asynchrony between consumers and the mean timing of the resource. Spatiotemporal variation in the resource peak height and width also influences the food available to consumers.

1 #BOU2023 #SESH1 Under global warming, migratory birds face a particular challenge to advance their breeding phenology to track warmer springs. Here, we focus on the migratory common redstart to study the impacts of rising temperatures on egg laying date phenology
