@the2ndfloorguy Having a diverse network of friends can open you up to conversations, even if they’re not as deep. If all of your friends are white collar workers for example, you can learn a lot to talking to someone outside of that. Maybe that’s a different type of return than your ROI?

@cremieuxrecueil could have been affected by the Covid pandemic. Since time was spent more alone in Covid, maybe the default response in adversity is to be avoidant. - Lots of crazy world events could have people generally more paranoid, promoting fear response over settling peacefully
