A 19-year-old boy in China fell in love with a 29-year-old widow and mother, an unacceptable relationship at the time. The couple chose to live in a remote mountain cave to be together. Over the next 50 years, he hand-carved 6,000 steps into the mountainside so his wife could climb down more easily. Today, the government has preserved their home and path as the 'Love Ladder' and turned it into a museum so their love story lives on forever.

My friend Tonderai once dated a girl named Chipo, whom he had met at church. They were deeply in love, and Tonde often confided in me that he wanted to marry her. One day, Chipo asked to meet him, saying she had something important to tell him. When they met, Chipo revealed a painful secret from her past. Apparently, while she was in Form 3, she had been sexually abused by her teacher, and the abuse had resulted in a child. The revelation shattered Tonde. He broke down and cried like a baby and that was the first and only time I had ever seen him so emotionally devastated. He told Chipo he needed time to process the bombshell. After several days of deep reflection, he returned to her with his decision. He believed it was best for them to end the relationship. He explained that he was not comfortable marrying someone who already had a child. Chipo pleaded with him, insisting that the pregnancy was not her fault and that she had been a victim. But Tonde remained firm. They went their separate ways. Do you think Tonde did the right thing or he should have married Chipo anyway?

I was once a government engineer in the GNU period. I think the salary was $100 across the board when it started. One day the old lady that cleaned our offices said to me “Engineer ZimLingo, tafanana ka, chikoro hachibhadhare. Honai ndiri kungohora mari yakafana neyenyu.” And she burst out laughing. I was hurt. Ndakaita sendinotsva 😔

Just build new schools
Dandaro Online@DandaroOnline

#dandarostreets The Zimbabwean government has unveiled plans to rename more than 60 schools across Harare, targeting colonial-era identities in favor of liberation icons and local figures. Under the proposal, Prince Edward High School would become Murenga Boys, Queen Elizabeth School renamed Sally Mugabe, and Lord Malvern High rebranded as Waterfalls High. The move, affecting at least 20 secondary and over 40 primary schools, is part of a broader push to reshape national identity through education. Starting from 2027, it will be mandatory for all schools in Zimbabwe to register learners for ZIMSEC examinations. Those "A" schools doing Cambridge will have to also adhere to this policy if they are to operate in the country. This policy shift ensures that students in both public and private institutions adhere to the national assessment framework. ALL SCHOOL KIDS ARE THE SAME!!!

@BLACKFLAGZW @Tkzee_27 In such a situation, the idea is to keep you close enough so they can use you, but not so close that you can benefit anything in return. Its a lopsided alliance
