@RedeemedRags Life happens. Blessed with 4 parents, ages 95-87. Wasn't expecting the 37 yo to be the first to go, not him choosing to go. He's in His hands. Hurts, but I better understand His sacrifice.

Few journalist report facts. They give opinions. We expected that in OpEds, that's why there was an Opinion section in the paper. It's not the bias, it's word choice and photo choice. It's become difficult to even read what is presented as news.
U.S. Secretary of Common Sense@ScottButtram

He's right. We all carry our own bias. Media outlets have to build a wall between reporting and opinion. Both have a place, but when reporting appears dictated by opinion, credibility issues arise.

@DrShayPhD Yes and yes. And did you know 119, the longest, is an acrostic with each 8 verse section starting with the Hebrew alphabet? Want to learn the Hebrew alphabet?

Daily Nugget: Did you know that both the longest and the shortest chapters in the Bible are found in the book of Psalms? The shortest chapter in the entire Bible is Psalm 117. It’s only two verses long. But don’t let its size fool you. It delivers a mighty, powerful message. It calls all nations to praise the Lord and declares His merciful kindness and everlasting truth. In just a few words, it sends out the global call to worship the unchanging character of God. Now, flip just two chapters over and you hit Psalm 119, the longest chapter in the Bible with a whopping 176 verses. And what’s it all about? The Word of God. Every verse is a celebration of God’s law, His commandments, His precepts. It’s like David is saying, “If I’m going to write the longest chapter, I’m going to fill it with love for God's Word.” Here’s something fascinating: Psalm 117 is the middle chapter of the Bible. So right at the center, God calls the whole world to praise and honor Him. Isn't that profound?!? Then, just beyond that, He lays out the foundation of that praise, His Word. Coincidence? I don’t think so. It’s like God is telling us: “Praise Me for who I am, then dig deep into what I’ve said.” That’s a message we can live by.

Spencer, I was drawn to your story after the fires in LA because I saw what happened to Western North Carolina happen to you guys as well. Except nothing prepared me for how bad, how insane the rebuilding process would be for you. You relentlessly put out video after video describing what was going on, even when they didn't get tons of views at first. It didn't matter, you kept going. We don't agree on everything. That doesn't matter. You lost your damn home and you're living in an Airstream on a burned-out lot.... ...and somehow Karen Bass has the AUDACITY to call it "exploiting grief." That tells me everything I need to know. I watched the same machine grind on people in Western North Carolina after Helene. They want you tired. They want you quiet. They want the cycle to move on so the rebuilding stalls and nobody gets held accountable. You refused to let that happen. And you did something insanely brave... run for office to fix it. That's freaking amazing dude. I'm rooting for you.

I resemble that statement. I think the answer is: yes. Who knows when that person may drop a nugget that you never expected. I have so few followers, I wonder if it is even worth posting my own (although extremely clever) thoughts. 😁

Do you follow people back that- even though they’re engaging with you and you enjoy them, they only rt stuff and never have anything original? I struggle with this. I want to get notifications for people’s original content.. but I don’t want to seem like a snot.

@MerriamWebster Are you reading my monthly Senior Adult Newsletter? That's my story this month. Mayday replacrd SOS, which was easy to differentiate telegraphicly, but not so much when spoken. SOS also was Save Our Ship and planes aren't ships. Hence... Mayday

‘Mayday’ first came into English in 1923. There was a lot of air traffic between England and France in those days and both parties wanted to find a good distress signal that everyone would understand. They could just use 'S.O.S.' - right? Well…
