More than a week into the Royal Commission into Antisemitism, a disturbing pattern has emerged: testimony from Zionist lobby groups that routinely describes criticism of Zionism and Israel as antisemitic deepcutnews.com/p/what-weve-ac…

This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: nytimes.com/2026/05/11/opi…

Happy Mother’s Day 💔 🇵🇸 🇱🇧

A British woman was stopped by police at a train station and told she was under investigation after a passenger on a train reported feeling uncomfortable and alleged she had made comments referencing the Holocaust. Police said they had received a text message alleging she had denied the Holocaust, and subsequently tracked her down and told her she was being investigated for a "racially aggravated public order" offence. The woman, Fiona Rose Diamond, an activist with anti-Zionist views, said she was expressing political views about the political ideology Zionism. She said she had just returned from an oncology appointment in London when she was met by British Transport Police at the station. She also said she believed the timing and circumstances were not a coincidence. The activist argued that anti-Zionism is increasingly being deliberately conflated with antisemitism in order to silence criticism of Israel and suppress dissenting political views in Britain. "I am more than entitled to hold beliefs about a political ideology," she said in the video, adding that her grandfather was Jewish. The incident has sparked renewed debate over free speech in the UK.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said: 'Our Chinese friends believe that Iran has proven its strength and capabilities. The Iran after this war is no longer the Iran before it, and therefore, a new phase of cooperation between Iran and other countries is about to begin.' This is an accurate assessment. I've been saying all along that the significance of this war for Iran is similar to what the Korean War meant for China back in 1950. There aren't many countries in the world that can withstand the full-scale assaults by the United States and remain undefeated. Both China and Iran achieved this. After this war, Iran can be considered a 'quasi-permanent member of the UN Security Council' without actually holding a seat—the top power broker in the Middle East. China, in turn, must elevate its cooperation with Iran accordingly and show Iran the respect befitting a major regional power.

Where are the two pilots that crashed and were rescued in Iran? Are they ok? Why don’t we know anything about them?

One of the many tragedies of this war is that before the war began the U.S. Intel Community, including CIA, was in agreement that Iran wasn't developing a nuclear weapon & that Iran would target U.S. bases in the region & shut down the Strait of Hormuz if they were attacked by Israel & the U.S. The IC also properly assessed that targeting the Iranian leadership would strengthen the regime and embolden the hardliners. Despite the professionalism & accuracy of the IC, the narrative & agenda spun by a foreign government- Israel, won the argument & forced us into this war. We need to understand exactly how this happened to ensure we are never put in this position again.
