Sony has settled a $7.85 million antitrust lawsuit over PlayStation digital game sales, elegible users in US will get credits in their accounts.
The class action claimed that Sony blocked third-party retailers from selling digital download vouchers for PlayStation games starting in 2019.
This allegedly let Sony control the market and charge higher prices on the PlayStation Store.
As part of the settlement, eligible US customers will receive credits in their PlayStation Network accounts.
These credits can be used to buy games and other content and covers around 4.4 million users who bought certain digital games on the PlayStation Store between April 2019 and December 2023.
Sony did not admit any wrongdoing. A court gave preliminary approval to the settlement in April 2026.
