MAY WE HAVE COMPASSION FOR ALL BEINGS ❤️‍🩹 The Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) on Tuesday expressed concern over an incident involving a dove during a Salubong ceremony at a church in Malabon on Easter Sunday. Based on the video, the bird’s wings were stretched and tied to a cable rod to maintain its flight appearance during the event. “While the intention of the tradition is meaningful, this method may have caused discomfort to the animal. We hope future celebrations can reflect not only faith, but also compassion for all, even to the most voiceless of God’s creations,” AKF wrote in a Facebook post. The animal welfare group said they have reached out to the diocese to get their response on the issue.
