Greening the environment, a tree at a time.
As part of our Kijani Tree Initiative, working closely with local communities and the Kenya Forest Service under the leadership of Forest Manager Levis Kikenyi, alongside our Meru County team, we have kicked off the planting of 5,000 trees in the Kethima Beats section of Meru Forest.
These initiatives support the restoration of our ecosystem, protect water catchment areas, and encourage communities living near the forest to embrace sustainable practices.
Today’s activity was spearheaded by Roseline Njeru, our socio economist.
And this is just the beginning! In the coming weeks, we plan to scale up our efforts by planting over 200,000 seedlings across multiple sites nationwide.
Together, we can make a lasting difference.
