@JoeyMannarinoUS Canada will make the US an 11th province. We invade, overcome North Dakota and Minnesota with our legal weed and beer that actually contains alcohol. Then we stop with our gains. The US somehow cares about ND and Min and is upset. Will you also make another dumb post like this?

@PRiMETIMESNOOP_ Player runs past opponent quickly. Wind from this knocks opponent over causing grimacing and apparent amputated limbs. If opponent is unable to relearn how to walk and play after 1 minute, is immediately removed from pitch for a forced 10 minute medical exemption. Problem solved.

#BREAKING🚨: Argentina mid-fielder Rodrigo De Paul spoke to the Canadian soccer media today, casually stirring more controversy from last night's 2-0 victory vs Canada with his brutally honest statement. "Yes, we dive, it's a part of our culture. We all do it, it's the nature of the game, It's fair play. Let's move on we have another game to win." Argentina advances to the Copa America final, which they'll play this Sunday.

Wait a minute. THIS is the Draisaitl hit everyone’s talking about? This is a 2 minute penalty max. I love that we are growing the game but how many casuals are actually thinking this is “suspension” worthy. Take the penalty call, grow up and move on.

@frspchdyn @BBGreatMoments This, 100%. If it’s 1 out and the order is pitcher catches fly ball (batter 2nd out) runner crosses plate, pitcher throws to 1 before runner tags up (3rd out) , runs scores unless leaving 3rd early is appealed by defense. You’re correct a tag up is not a force out.

@BBGreatMoments Yes. Tag up outs are appeal plays and not force outs. So, it's a timing play, and the run came in first.

That’s a goal and everyone knows it. Oilers know they’re not going to get that call though against Vancouver or Rick Tocchet will call the league from his cell phone at intermission and complain to every ref for the rest of the game.

@Beyonderic @itsWozzz Not sure why this is still being discussed by you cannot use a single part of the rule and ignore other parts .. “jump into” not “jump” and distance travelled. Neither apply here. Anyways old news .. game 6 tonight and we are up 3-2 🤷‍♂️

@KailerMemeamoto You’re focused on the yellow .. ignoring the red … now who’s dumb? Jumping up is not “into” .. it’s also 0.0m distance. Either way .. Oilers 0-5 on the power play, Canucks win the game, and are 3-2 in the series 🤷‍♂️

Quick glance at the math and I think the obvious thing that jumps out is that the assumption that players can cash at the same frequency regardless of payout %. The fewer places paid the more the mean regresses toward 0% ITM freq. More places paid = better for break even/losing players. If we really want to impact change on payout structures, the focus should be on flattening the top and the bottom, while allocating more money to the top 1% finishers or so

@JustinBonomo Saying Ike is a great player just on a positive Variance line right now and no benefit from a mask is like saying Barry Bonds was a great player and steroids didn’t improve his play … even great players edge seek. Not suggesting Ike is, but it’s very clear a mask is +ev.

It honestly never occurred to me that someone could possibly have this poor of an interpretation of my point Of course I would never argue any tournament player has always won at the same rate, especially not one currently sun-running like Ike Phil consistently puts way too much stock into results and doesn’t have a competent grasp on variance in poker Ike has been a phenomenal player his entire career The good side of tournament variance has finally caught up with his skill and attributing his success to wearing a mask is beyond pathetic If Phil would have ever taken two minutes out of his day to talk to Isaac, it would have become immediately apparent to Phil that Ike is incredibly informed on covid and is legitimately extremely concerned with the effects of long covid My post was satire, but in the end I was hoping to draw attention to long covid because many people are woefully undereducated about it
phil_hellmuth@phil_hellmuth

I was told by @JustinBonomo on X that @ikepoker has had a Golden record forever. Justin implied that Ike has always won at the same rate he has over the last 2 yrs. @RealKidPoker laughed at this assertion, and said, “Justin is wrong, Ike had the best two years of his life in tourneys w the mask on! Look it up, it’s obvious.” Let’s not get it twisted: I think Ike is a great player, one of the best. This is about Ike covering his face w a mask during competition. To me, it is not in the spirit of no limit Hold’em. To me, it is horrible for ratings. To me, it gives Ike a big edge. Bad for poker, great for Ike. Many top top players agree and have texted me on the side to thank me for fighting this thankless fight (to have face coverings removed, unless you have a medical condition). I have avoided social media fights, but I will fight for what I believe to be right #POSITIVITY

Just my thoughts I wanted to share with you all. This isn’t me preaching and if it comes off that way, apologies in advance. It’s how I see life from my own perspective: At my worst I can be arrogant, condescending, judgmental, and unforgiving. Those aren’t traits to be proud of, but they are a part of who I am. I can also be humble, generous, kind, accepting and that’s when I’m at my best. I think this is true for most all of us. None of us are perfect and I think it’s a worthwhile exercise to acknowledge and be honest with yourself about the things that work for you, and also the parts that hinder you Not to beat yourself up, because you are human and you are flawed… Not to loathe yourself and think you are an awful person, simply to be cognizant of how you are being in any given situation and allow yourself a chance to ask the question, “Am I being the best version of myself right now?” Recognize the behavior, and then maybe you can snap out of it into a better version of yourself more quickly with time and practice You will always fail from time to time. The bad traits are still part of you and they won’t disappear, they will rear their ugly head from time to time… because you are human, and you are flawed For me, my favorite characteristic in other humans is authenticity Nothing more important to me, which is why @RadioAmanda was my dream girl. I’d rather know you on your worst day than not truly know you at all.

To everyone watching the debate theater tonight and thinking it's real life, I suggest you watch this documentary called Spin and wake the hell up already. It's raw satellite footage from the 90s where presidents, news anchors, pundits, and producers are being recorded through live feeds unknowingly. It shows you how everything really works behind the scenes. There is footage related to debates and how they manipulated and controlled. We're going to get sucked back into their demonic advertiser controlled media machine of red vs blue where they manipulate us for the next year up until the election (that they'll obviously steal again) and keep our eyes glued to their bullshit narratives and contrived content, while they use Mkultra and Mockingbird learned tactics to subjugate us into submission and eventually think and do things that are completely against our own interests. It's the same stupid shit every 4 years and I'm so tired of it. Can't do it anymore.

In the early 1990s, Brazilian photojournalist Sebastião Ribeiro Salgado was stationed in Rwanda to cover the genocide, an experience that left him traumatized. In 1994, upon returning to his home in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Sebastião hoped to find solace in the lush green forest of his childhood. Instead, he discovered that his home had transformed into a dusty, barren land stretching for miles, devoid of any wildlife. "The land was as sick as I was. Only about 0.5% of the land was covered in trees," he remarked. At this time, his wife, Lélia Deluiz Wanick Salgado, proposed that they embark on the ambitious journey of replanting the entire forest. Sebastião supported the idea, and together, over the course of the next 20 years, they planted an astonishing 2.7 million trees. Their efforts resulted in the rejuvenation of 1,500 acres of rainforest, and the site eventually became home to 293 plant species, 172 bird species, and 33 animal species, some of which were on the brink of extinction.

@WesleyHlava @fasc1nate Your math is off. 2.7 mill over 20 years is 135k per year … divide that by 365 that’s 370 trees a day. As a tree planter for a couple summers in my youth, you could easily plant 1000 trees a day, depending on terrain or soil conditions.
