(1/3)EARLY SKI RESORT CLOSURES: Today Snowbasin announced that this Sunday would be their last day of operations. Record heat has made it really tough to keep runs open and even make snow in the overnight.

(2/2)Many other cities across the state and southwest have broken all-time March records today as well. Insult to injury, tomorrow looks even warmer than today, so we could break the record a second time! Stay cool!

(1/2)ALL-TIME MARCH HEAT: Salt Lake City has now officially broken the all-time warmest March temperature on record. The old record was 80° on March 31, 2012. This also will be logged as the earliest 80° day on record, and it came almost 2 weeks earlier than the previous record.

Today's forecast is 72° in Salt Lake City. That's actually only 2 degrees away from the record for the date which is 74° set back in 2017.

@KSL_Matt Same along the Mogollon Rim in Arizona. 2022-23 was one of the top 3 for snow, then 2024-25 and 2025-26 totally flipped us the opposite way.

3 years ago today we were watching cabins get swallowed up by a record snowpack in Fairview Canyon, Utah. Today we are staring down the barrel of a season ending heatwave ON TOP the worst snowpack since 1980. We went from first to worst in 3 short years, can you believe that??
