@AmiAdventures For years that number plate came up with nothing and now it's showing up as a 213 - Richards was badged a 216. Either it had a private plate on for a long time or something odd has happened

@lmcbelfast @RedBSierra Had one around 10 years ago, great car and a real motorway cruiser. Sadly the high VED is making the original 13 in the UK dwindle down further....the one we had appears to have not been MOT'd in a while so they're possibly into single figures that are left on the road now 😢

@hjwakerley @F1Mike28 Isn’t that V12 CL engine the one with the oil pipe at the bottom of the “V”, which if it fails, involves a full engine removal and tear down?

A little update after falling down a 6.3L V12 wormhole last night. There were actually 5 built which makes the G63 the rarest post-merger AMG ever. It was never for sale in dealers but was more of an invite-only thing. 2 are in Japan, 2 are in Germany and 1 was sent to Dubai and wore the plate DUBAI 1 - the state car. Interestingly the engine was only in production for a month. Although it looks like it went into 3 models and around 100 cars. One of which is this very normal-looking CL63, with 142600 of the most expensive miles and still going. The very definition of a brute in a suit… a proper Q car. So that’s 100 ish 6.3L V12s I’ve got to find now 😂

For reasons, just reasons I found myself needing to watch Cliff Richard’s Wired for Sound video. Aside of the brilliant cheesiness, car Twitter, what’s he driving? I’m thinking Merc.

Can anyone save/distribute/sell these (modern) classic shock absorbers? I can’t store them forever but my reluctance to scrap them has seen them in storage for 6 years. Plenty of good stuff in there but nothing I require.

@RoadworkUK Can't you put a 1/2 extension bar in it and then turn with a ratchet to get desired tension?

Aaanyway. Coolant pump is on, as is cam belt. BUT. Here's where I come to a grinding halt. I don't have the 8mm square-section L-shaped key (like an Allen key, but square), or any servicable equivalent, to set the tensioner pulley. So close! Probably about an hour's work left!
