@KSkolFin @hadassahxx She didnt play in the W last year so isnt navigating the pendulum shift. If she is an ethical defender, she should be happy with this new adjustment. Even her dad agrees with it. She's complaining because she got embarrassed with poor play and needs an excuse

I asked the Atlanta Dream about officiating in light of Azzi Fudd's recent comments, to which Rhyne Howard said: "I'm not getting fined." (Fudd was not fined).
HC Karl Smesko also said that "players were gonna have to adjust" if officials continue to make tighter calls.

@PapaDragon331 @hadassahxx Context, the previous years the W has been super physical. Like to the point of some people getting gnarly injuries. The pendulum has shifted where there are numerous calls that people weren't even touched. This happening in numerous other games (non-wings). Balance is a must

@kerrrr22 @ComplexSports @GettyImages Out of her 5 or 6 fouls, atleast 2 of them she literally made no contact, maybe breathe on them. I agree the fouls that hurt other players were bad and protect the players, but if you go back and watch her fouls specifically...woof it's such a bad whistle

It’s setting a tone for the season so people learn to actually defend without fouling.
Every star player was out with injuries last season. A’ja, Stewie, Phee, CC, Satou, Kah, AT… list goes on.
Can’t have players fouling out of games. The hope is they start to dial it back and play somewhat sensibly this year.
