Today, I held meetings in London with some stakeholders in British politics and business community, including Lord Jonathan Marland, the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).
The discussion with Lord Marland held particular importance as it centred on prospective trade opportunities, economic advancement, and the promotion of small businesses throughout Nigeria.
It is clear that fostering a robust economy and generating employment, as evidenced by rapidly growing nations like China, Indonesia, and Vietnam, necessitates a concerted effort to prioritise support for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
As I have consistently asserted, our micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) serve as the driving force behind economic growth, and it is imperative that we provide them with vigorous support to enhance development and create significant employment opportunities, particularly within the agriculture and manufacturing sectors.
A New and revitalised Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@daddyopm Will the people under your care ever grow to tell their own stories?
English

Her mother was a s@x worker.
As soon as she gave birth to her, she went and dump her in a motherless baby home.
When the mother knew she was about to kpia, she informed her grand mother that she have a daughter that is residing in a motherless home.
So the grand mother took her that they went and collected her daughter.
Few days later she kpia.
Her grandmother unable to take care of her and send her to school begged a relative who promised to send her to school.
According to her as soon as she was brought to port harcourt she started maltreating and refused to send her to school.
So she ran back to her village.
While she was with her Anty she normally see opm on television.
So she told her grandmother that she is going to port harcourt to stay with opm.
Since that year she has been staying in my house and now she is grown to 17 years old and she is in SS2 in one of the OPM free schools. See less See less

Congratulations to Victor Osimhen
I want to join other fans in congratulating one of Nigeria’s many talented exports, Victor Osimhen, for successfully leading Galatasaray S.K. to the Turkish Süper Lig title with a brilliant performance, scoring twice in the decisive victory that sealed the championship.
Your resilience, discipline, and talent continue to inspire millions of young Nigerians to believe in the power of hard work, dedication, and excellence. You have remained a proud ambassador of Nigeria on the global stage, bringing honour to our nation through your achievements and conduct. Nigerians are immensely proud of you and your continued success.
I have often spoken about the transformative power of sports and the immense opportunities it offers to young people. This is why the persistent neglect of the sector in our country is deeply regrettable. The truth is that Nigeria is blessed with countless talents like Osimhen, waiting for the right leadership, support, and environment to rise, excel, and bring glory to the nation.
I reiterate that a new Nigeria, where all sectors develop simultaneously for the balanced growth and health of the nation is POssible.
I wish @victorosimhen9 even greater success in the years ahead. -PO

@DrJoeAbah @channelstv @ARISEtv @tvcnewsng @NTANewsNow @GovWike The scourge of open defecation. Tell him the overhead bridge at police signboard Lugbe and Nyanya bridge are the headquarters.
English

Dear @channelstv @ARISEtv @tvcnewsng @NTANewsNow, please when next you go for a media briefing with FCT Minister @GovWike, kindly ask him about the following:
1. Cows taking over roads, now including highways, in Abuja
2. Waste collection and mountains of refuse in various parts of town
3. Swarms of young children, who should be in school, begging at traffic lights and junctions under the supervision of adults sitting under nearby trees.
4. The pandemic of driving “one-way” against traffic.
5. Aggressive street traders, especially the ones selling windscreen wiper blades, who insist on putting their hands on your windscreen.
6. All commercial vehicles, including Keke, that believe that traffic lights don’t apply to them.
Others may have other things to add but it would be good to get answers to these first.
Thank you.

The Human Condition...
Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago was a friend of my late father, Alhaji Tijjani Usman Bulldozer (APC Party Chairman of Suleja LGA).
Even after my father passed away, I continued to stay in touch with him regularly. Every Friday, I would greet him because he was a cheerful person with a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed talking with him.
Even after he won his primary elections, we still spoke often. I called to congratulate him. At one point, I told him I was interested in getting a job with the Nigeria Customs Service, and he asked me to send him my slip, saying Insha Allah he would try to help. But around that time, he became busy with the governorship campaign, so I had to let the matter go.
After he became governor, we spoke one last time. He told me that from then on I should text him instead — you know, being a governor is no small responsibility.
Later, after he became governor, destiny made us meet again in Bida. It happened because his security team and I were staying at the same hotel. My colleagues and I had traveled from Lagos for work on behalf of our company.
We met the governor, and he recognized me. He welcomed me warmly, introduced me to some people, and was genuinely happy to see me. I was very happy too.
Then he called the guy whose picture I circled — his name is “Kolo.” He told him to collect my phone number and said that whenever I wanted to see him, I should contact Kolo. He also instructed them to give me some money, and afterward I returned to Lagos.
After I completed my NYSC, I messaged Kolo, but he claimed he didn’t know me. I sent him this picture, and he admitted it was indeed him, but he still acted like he didn’t recognize me. I tried everything I could, but he refused to help me make any connection. Eventually, I just left the matter alone and said to myself that if it is destined, Allah will create another opportunity for us to meet again.
What still confuses me is why he refused to connect me with the governor.
The only thing I would have asked for was a job. But he completely refused.
Still, I believe that if it is meant to be, one day I will meet the governor again — whether he likes it or not.

WHY THE SENATE?
I have spent years calling out the problems.
Now I am seeking the platform to implement the solutions.
From the outside, I could shout.
From the inside, I can legislate.
From the outside, I could demand.
From the inside, I can enforce.
A better Abuja will not build itself. It requires constitutional power
