Caitlin Clark is 2nd in the WNBA in assists per game and T-4th in points per game. A year ago, her fellow players ranked her as the 9th best guard in the league. This year, they dropped her to 11th. This really is one of the most interesting stories I’ve ever covered.

@cbrennansports I live in Arizona. The Mercury have been saturating the market for WEEKS using Clark's image to sell tix to the game in Phoenix in July. She's the headliner in every ad. And ticket prices? The SAME seat for the game prior is $76. For the Fever: $300.

This is a tipping point for the WNBA. It’s year 3 of constant cheap shots on the player who brought seismic attention to the league.
What other pro league doesn’t protect its superstar? Or, hell, just treat her like a human being. The adults need to enter the room.

This is wild. WNBA celebrates 30 years with 30 players and doesn't include the player who brought the league the most attention, highest ratings, increased revenue and player salaries, schedule and team expansion, merch sales, and fan attendance its ever had.

I haven’t been able to watch the last few games except for a couple of plays and honestly forgot the games were even on. There is no way I can watch a league that allows this to happen over and over! Just despicable!
