I think every company should have a #fridathon policy, to foster innovation, energize teams and improve morale cazzulino.com/fridathon. I'm realizing the term might actually stick, so I'm giving it a permalink, hehe :)

@xoofx This is a very useful one for API exploration by agents, from @davidfowl (would love to see that moved to the @dotnet/skills repo): github.com/davidfowl/dotn…

I'm starting to be quite tempted to add to all my OSS packages an integrated SKILLS.md that I will be able to use in my AI coding TUI. It is quite laborious today when using my own libraries as I have to point to local checked out repositories to help the agent to use them. Also need to check how to have better top-down discovery of precompiled .NET API (ilspycmd but tailored for AI consumption, use of source link...etc.)

CIAO!

@xoofx Makes perfect sense. Perhaps some private dogfooders? Happy to do that if it helps. Looking forward to its future released in any case!

Hehe, probably not at this stage 😄
Like with all my OSS projects, I'm the main user first. Since I can only work on it in my spare time, I prefer moving at my own pace without handling PRs and issues too early, while I'm still experimenting and changing things a lot.
Right now, I can rewrite big parts overnight without worrying about coordination or merge conflicts. I mostly want to enjoy building it without adding the same constraints I can deal with every day at work 🙂

Some update on my AI coding TUI: I've been using it exclusively for the past few weeks, and it's working really well. It's pretty fun to improve the tool with itself and use it across all my OSS projects! 🚀
I just added thread management (open, delete, etc.) and a lot of small quality-of-life improvements here and there. ✨
What's wild is that it still feels very far from what I want it to be, and I haven't even started fleet/squad support yet. I think there are still a few months of spare-time work before I can call it 1.0 and make it public. 😴

@James_M_South @timheuer @nuget Not all models are created equal in terms of leveraging skills either 😟
English

I think the skills story should be directly integrated in the existing package delivery mechanisms. In @dotnet, for example, the @nuget package could include skills dir that should be automatically added as a skills dir by @github #copilot

The difference between a "vanilla" request to the Gemini model and enabling this new skill? Pretty dramatic. More to do, but we'll all keep learning the best way to apply these to our agents and tools. developers.googleblog.com/en/closing-the…

@awakecoding @ksemenenk0 @dotnet @nuget @github It's just like npx skills, it's a dotnet skills installer, rather than the skills themselves. I reserved *dnx skills* but haven't done anything with it yet
English

@ksemenenk0 @kzu @dotnet @nuget @github Wait, is that a suggested approach for installing skills, or is that already supported? I was literally just thinking how nice it would be to install agent skills as a dotnet tool

Going next Tuesday with my son 🤘🔥

AC/DC on the second night at River Plate, Argentina. This is insane.
English

@ksemenenk0 @dotnet @nuget @github Nope. You don't want to execute random scripts on package install/restore (I don't even think that's supported anymore nowadays in @nuget).

@ksemenenk0 @dotnet @nuget @github That seems like the exact opposite. You install user-wide skills, just like npx skills does. Per project, per version is what's needed IMHO.
English

@kzu @dotnet @nuget @github Already in progress skills.managed-code.com I want to have super big catalog with nice tool to install packaged with right skills

TIL: the study shows women are empathic to cheaters getting punished, while men feel pleasure at punishing the cheaters. 🤨
@grok plz verify this based on the study at pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC26…

- Drafted a blog post
- Used an LLM to meticulously improve the argument over 4 hours.
- Wow, feeling great, it’s so convincing!
- Fun idea let’s ask it to argue the opposite.
- LLM demolishes the entire argument and convinces me that the opposite is in fact true.
- lol
The LLMs may elicit an opinion when asked but are extremely competent in arguing almost any direction. This is actually super useful as a tool for forming your own opinions, just make sure to ask different directions and be careful with the sycophancy.

I told you guys before Argentinean meat is one of the worst in the world
Their farms switched from free roaming grass fed beef to factory farmed feedlots like America
None of it is original great Argentinean meat that they were famous for 30 years ago
Uruguay still has free roaming grass fed beef
A tragedy really
Great article on this: traveldeeper.co/culture-food/t…

China 🇨🇳 rejected 22 tons of meat from Argentina 🇦🇷 after finding chloramphenicol, an antibiotic banned for human consumption for 30 years, and suspended exports from one of Argentina's main meatpacking plants.

@ClintRutkas 🙋♂️ using dev drive on Windows, had to disable the mount (to access it from the C: drive) because nextjs app got continuously confused between D: (dev drive) and C: (mount) paths showing up here and there. Totally broken experience.
