Removing any skin removes nerve endings, but high quality studies show the key pleasure nerves are in the glans not the foreskin and circumcised guys report equal or better sensation overall. Pain and pleasure arent universal but the data still separates a minor snip from FGM destruction.

I took apart an N64 expansion pak today for more testing with the thermal pads in it. It seems like the aluminum is for shielding and heatsinking. There is a thin layer of aluminum on each side, but there is also a thick aluminum sheet that extends up past the shielding.
