@SegodiTlour I pray for every person looking for job to find it and secure it and be truly grateful when found and I pray for workplace resilience for people of colour.

They told us to study hard, work smart, and the future would be ours. But 8.1 million of us are sitting with qualifications, dreams, and CVs that collect dust while the unemployment rate keeps climbing. We’re not lazy we’re locked out. And if 301,000 jobs can vanish in 3 months, you start to realize: waiting for the system to save you is the fastest way to stay stuck. The future won’t be handed to us. We have to build it ourselves, even if we have to start from zero

English

It’s not about how many hours you study. It is about how you use those hours. A student using effective study strategies for 1 hour will outperform someone who spends hours repeating ineffective methods.
Time alone doesn’t guarantee results. Technique does.

Guys. Do you think matriculants staying at school from around 6AM to late hours around 5/6PM is effective? Is it helping in any way? I am just wondering .
English

@MelaninGarcon At this rate I am not sure how long I am going to keep up with having to believe this. Is true love even a real concept in real life?
English

@Pagan5242 @omgsidewalks That's sad that you refer to yourself so negative.
English

@omgsidewalks Old miserable fecker? At least, that's how I refer to myself.
English

@marcia_breeze @KhomotsoKD I know its not nice but it not necessarily forcing. This is going to be my non negotiables I dont care if you feel forced as my child. Swim till 18, play music instrument till 16, gymnastics till 13. ONLY STEM FIELD FOCUS will follow others after but I would never kill creativity
English

@K_Lichaba @KhomotsoKD Weighing the economy is valid but her tone suggests she'll force the child into a path that she prefers, I'm speaking about that part
English

@Angela734198012 @Amorthebaby Girl are you okay.. you know you can prove a point without shaming someone. Retarded ??
English

You tried so hard to make sense, but your retarded brain couldn't let you.
You want her to have messy hair in this outfit, or you hate how they can snatch their waist so easily
Or is it how they always look good and fashionable that is pissing you off?
You really need to pick a battle fr
Cause this isn't it
English

The Nigerian girls are obsessed with looking sexy no matter the context that is why they can never be fashion icons for me. The hair & makeup is always boring. No creativity, the dresses are just ALWAYS cinched waist corseted figure 8 silhouettes. And it’s ALWAYS studio pictures.

@Jacksonsrule I am currently convincing myself that it was all worth. I just want a peaceful life, workout, have family around me and not give my full 8 hours to a job which I can be easily replaced. Have garden and a roof over my head. The titles I am not sure if I want them anymore.
English

Call it a millennial crisis if you want.
But in my 30's, I realized l don't actually want the life I worked so hard for. I don't care about titles. I don't care about climbing anyone else's ladder. I care about time. I care about slow mornings. I care about peace. I care about bare feet at the beach with nowhere to be. I still want to make money.. just not at the cost of my life.

Daily reminder :
English

@Kabugo_ Work place resilience is something which I was never ready for especially after university but I understand it is part of growth.
English

@marcia_breeze @KhomotsoKD I dont she is short sighted. She is weighing our economy with stability of a degree you choose.
English

@KhomotsoKD This is a very shortsighted approach to parenting because children will eventually do whatever they want, especially once they are old enough to live on their own
English

@BlackView_ZA @omak_alvin @mphoramabule2 What reality are you talking about because you speaking only from your based lens of how you view life. What is this reality we need to wake up from ?

@Ntando_mos @Kgethi_Liphoko That's why I also believe in homeschooling. I want my child to explore her/his identity without no bounds of conformity culture caused by going to primary and high school
English

You leave high school and suddenly almost everyone is growing their hair out, experimenting with identity, and reclaiming individuality. It makes you question how much of it was really about “discipline” versus control and conformity.
There’s something psychologically unsettling about teaching black girls from such a young age that parts of their appearance must constantly be reduced, hidden or managed to be considered acceptable. Then years later, in varsity and adulthood, many spend time trying to rediscover the very identity they were forced to suppress.
