@timewarpoets I was getting rid of some books that had never been read, asked if I could donate to the library and they said they can’t accept books that are older than 2 years….. so why do you not have ANY books from the last 5!

the library discourse is always so stupid bc i literally live in england, probably the second biggest publishing hub in the world & when i went to my local library there wasn’t a single book i wanted to read and my tbr is over 900 books so..?

@angelynchs I read books in between. I get bored binge reading.

question do u guys read all the books in a series in a row or do u read other stuff in between? bc i do the former but everyone i see on tl does the latter

For months and months I’ve used the same element on @canva as the background for my review graphics and changed the colour to match the book cover. Go on today to find they’ve removed the ability to change the cover. Absolutely devastated. I loved the coherent look I had 😭💔

My wonderful #BookTwitter family! I am doing the 12 Books Challenge again so recommend me all the books! Preferably something fantasy, sci-fi or romance. I’m open to other genres but no non fiction.

@hleneeh I love it. But it doesn’t frustrate me too much. I can always appreciate that’s how teenagers act. Especially as I work with 16-18 year olds. I only get frustrated when it’s really unlikely how a teen would act. I like how easy it is to read and not have to over think.

idk how readers well into adulthood can stand to read a lot of YA cause i swear the lack of maturity in the tone of the writing and the characterization kills me

@astersbookshelf I don’t have a problem with it. I love novellas.

how do you all feel about reading very short books to fulfill your wrap-ups or reading goals?

#booktwt Has anyone read Fireborne by Rosaria Munda? I have a question about one of the content warnings I’ve seen on StoryGraph before I commit to reading it.

@DebsSayItAgain @Shrink_at_Large There are other disabilities. My Dad has one and looks like he can walk perfectly fine. But he has stage 4 cancer and while he can walk fine at first it comes in short bursts.

@Shrink_at_Large I don’t think that’s correct. The blue badge users that I see can walk perfectly well so 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am sure there are other reasons.

People get a Blue Badge if: They cannot walk at all. They cannot walk without help from someone else or using mobility aids. They find walking very difficult due to pain, breathlessness or the time it takes. This has nothing to do with benefits. Nor the desire to go to the pub!

@cubitumeumus Honestly I don’t consider myself a fast reader and this is more than possible for me if I sat and binge read. Why are people saying this is not possible 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

@K__Books I agree! Except for the cover where all 5 are in one. That’s my absolute fave fr. Reminds me of twilight but sharp 😂 I hope they release the 5 books in these covers. I’d love to own them

@HuffleBoy THIS! Most of my friends are not swifties. But on release day they messaged me to say they hoped I enjoyed the album and asking what I thought! That’s a friend. They don’t have to be a fan but they are supportive of my interested and loved my excitement for it.

As someone a little older than many of you, trust me when I say that anyone who makes it a point to say they hate your interests doesn’t respect you, probably has low self esteem, and is not worth having around.

If anyone managed to find the @Tesco version of Alchemy of Secrets today let me know. I’ve been to 2 stores so far and nothing. Not even a space for it 💔

@TigerLillieRead I really like it too! I’m a big TTPD fan and even I appreciate this is a great album. It’s just different.

I’m really enjoying the life of a showgirl album, I’ve not been as active following everything with a two week old baby but really enjoying it

@midnightstaylor Give it a few weeks. They were like this about TTPD on release weekend too 😂
