There is a certain elegance in the fact that @jackfairweather, author of “The Volunteer: The True Story of the Resistance Hero Who Infiltrated Auschwitz”, will now lead the Pilecki Institute’s branch in New York. Fairweather not only knows Pilecki’s story better than almost anyone outside Poland, but has already demonstrated an extraordinary ability to translate it into a universal language of courage, moral responsibility, and resistance to tyranny. At a time when historical memory often struggles to reach wider audiences, the Institute will be led by someone who understands how Witold Pilecki’s legacy can inspire contemporary generations of Americans - not merely as a Polish hero, but as a figure of global significance.

Jack Fairweather objął tymczasowe stanowisko Prezesa Zarządu (CEO) spółki Pilecki Institute (USA), Inc. Jego zadaniem będzie rozszerzenie strategii programowej związanej z misją statutową oddziału IP w Nowym Jorku. Szczegóły na stronie: instytutpileckiego.pl/pl/instytut/ak… Fot. J. Fairweather

Nawrocki is "kremlin asset"?! You know, I am a Croatian living in Poland! And I heard some Polish people talking about how Ukrainians can't be trusted. I and was thinking - they are exaggerating because of these murders that were done in Wolyn. But they were right. You Ukrainians are completely sovietised. To lie about people who were there for you when everbody else was waiting that Putin destroys you, giving you weapons and taking your women and children to safety - you have to really be a awfull son of a bit...

@MilHistNow Borujsko (Western Pomerania). The 1st Warsaw Independent Cavalry Brigade uhlans boldly stormed and captured German fortified positions, breaking the 163rd Infantry Division’s defense. Recognized as the final successful Polish mounted charge in history.

On this day in 1945, an Allied mounted brigade operating in Pomerania makes the last cavalry charge of the Second World War. Fittingly, the attack is carried out by Poles.

There is no such thing as "Britophobic" for the same reason white people cannot be victims of racism. The ADL defined Racism as the marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people.

I'm wondering if any of the pronouncements of the Muslim Council of Britain may be Britophobic... Let's stop playing with loaded words and let's examine to what extent Islam can integrate with British values Do they insist on Female Genital Mutilation, Marriage between cousins, Restrictions on Dog Owning, Child Marriage, Halal Slaughter, Public Praying other than in Mosques, and the Intention to Replace all other Religions in Britain other than Islam ? I'd like to know

🔥 BREAKING 🔥 The Muslim Council of Britain has called the findings of the Muslim rape gangs Islamophobic. This is how it continued for so long, they weaponised words to silence people. Psychological Warfare. People were so afraid of being called racist or Islamophobic that they allowed thousands of little innocent White girls to be groomed, trafficked & raped by foreign Muslim men. I would much prefer to be called names than allow innocent children to be horrifically abused.

To... Tu cisną się słowa, których publicznie nie wypada mi pisać. Powiem tylko, że to dowód na absolutny nihilizm tzw. kultury europejskiej. Zło nazywamy dobrem, ofiary sprawcami i zbrodniarzami itd.

@PLinDeutschland @amb_niemiec

@zemunzivivecno @vintagemapstore I used the term “Ruthenians” because it is the most precise English term for the East Slavic ancestors of modern Ukrainians, Russians, and Belarusians, and it seems slightly more accurate in this context. Добро вече!

@KacKacu @vintagemapstore You are kind of Ruthenian, as East Slav. Ruthenians are Ukranians and Rusins, mainly. No Slavic nation accepted Ruthenian name, it was misused mainly by Austrians in XIX century. So, you have to be anti-Russian dickhead :). Have a nice evening.

A great discovery was made at the beginning of this year beneath the Cathedral Basilica of St. Stanislaus and St. Ladislaus in Vilnius, the most important Catholic cathedral in Lithuania. Archaeologists uncovered a hidden chamber in the cathedral’s crypts containing a collection of burial regalia of prominent leaders of Lithuania and Poland. The discovery was announced during a press conference at the Museum of Religious Heritage located in Vilnius. Among the notable artifacts uncovered was the funerary crown belonging to Alexander Jagiellon, who held the title of Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1492 and King of Poland from 1501, along with the burial regalia associated with Elisabeth of Habsburg and Barbara Radziwiłł, the first and second spouses of Sigismund Augustus. The regalia consists of crowns, scepters, royal orbs, chains, medallions, rings, and coffin plaques—all fashioned with remarkable skill. The secret cache is believed to have been created for safe-keeping during the outbreak of WWII and the German–Soviet Boundary and Friendship Treaty, placing Lithuania under Soviet control and the establishment of the Lithuanian SSR. 📷© Aiste Karpyte #archaeohistories

@alishbaforyou @historyinmemes The Royal Castle was severely damaged in September 1939 during German bombing at the start of WW II. After the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, when the city was almost completely leveled, the Germans systematically destroyed the most important historical landmarks and symbolic buildings
