I've accepted clients who wanted to commission me and send me AI generated references. Most of them got scammed and got AI stuff instead for the real art they paid for, some of them educated themselves about AI and decided to pay me to turn that AI stuff into real art For me, if a client wants their AI stuff to be turned into art is already proof enough that they're in the right way If you prefer to reject clients who use AI references that's OK! Just remember that you don't know their story 💕 communicate, ask them, talk to them, because maybe they have good intentions and by rejecting those clients they will have no choice but to relay on genAI

Let’s clarify some things. The court ruling did not say you can’t copyright AI. Only that AI that didn’t have significant human authorship could not be copyrighted. Unfortunately for the antis, most AI DOES have significant human authorship behind it. Prompts themselves are writing, which can by copy written unless that too was written by AI, and even then the writers of the prompts that lead to that prompt still have material that can be copywritten. For the Pro AI side, embrace the language of the court. We are AI Authors. Material you have made without AI is also copyrightable, or even made with AI as a previz can be copy written. If you, like me, have material made by traditional means, that is copywriten the minute your hand hits the paper. If you then use that to train the AI, you still own the character. You still own your stories, you still own your songs, your vocals, your instrument playing, your directing, your video editing. Only those aspects that were done entirely by computer and computer alone cannot be copy written. And that is very, very little of generative AI. So fake, digital assembly “artists”threatening us with copyright fear mongering are in the FA phase. I would suggest they not FO. I just had one of these dolts fold like a piece of paper. One by one… they all will if they really want to push this. It’s also very likely that new legislation will clean up the vagueness of the court ruling strengthening AI Author’s holds on their IP. But let’s be clear, especially those of us who can demonstrate significant human authorship in our AI creations… we are 100% able to protect what we produce.
