@PlumWdhse @steve_hanke "will remove any war with China." There's a connection for sure, but we may also be giving them an opportunity to walk right into Taiwan unopposed.

@steve_hanke If the good Prof. can just little bit harder, just little bit longer, he may realise that fighting and winning this one in Iran will remove any war with China. There is a connection.

Distinguished Prof. John Mearsheimer on Iran’s strategy: “When you listen to Hegseth and Trump talk, they talk about the Iranians like they’re a bunch of country bumpkins and we’re the strategic geniuses...I think that's not the case…we are up against a formidable adversary.”

@ball1_ball @steve_hanke Define "winning." Was Iraq a win? We achieved our military objectives, but not the economic or political ones. We spent a trillion (or more) and ended up with a Iraqi govt who is not overly friendly to us. The term "Pyrrhic Victory" exists for a reason.

@steve_hanke That may be true. The same thing happened to the British with the Boers in 1901, but guess who ended up winning? This “formidable enemy” has zero chance of winning. It’s a matter of time.

My phone is blowing up today to an unusual degree with texts from people alerting me to various legislative actions being taken at the local and federal levels to silence criticism of Israel and our relationship to it. All over the country. What is going on

EXCLUSIVE - Hegseth said today that “family after family” of the service members killed in the Iran war told him: “Finish this. Honor their sacrifice. Do not waver. Do not stop until the job is done.” But a father who met with Hegseth tells @Petereporter he never said that

@RealJimMoran @geocaveman @Cernovich Exactly. It is a reasonable at this point to think that the best outcome is a Dem House and a GOP Senate. The Dems would not have power to pass anything bad, they will tie the White House up for 2 years with impeachment hearings, and the Senate can still confirm SCOTUS justices.

Trump's voter base is unshakeable. 40%. Discussing their view on the Iran war is either stupid or deliberately dishonest. The question is what the MAHA people, the independents, the podcast listeners, and the young men are saying.

Apple selling cheap laptops means it’s giving up on being an aspirational brand. Means it’s run out of ideas - which has been obvious for a while with the goggles and the thicker phones and iPads. It’s like if Mercedes entered the compact truck market.

@PhilBrown_ @bungarsargon Indeed. The "I Hate NATO" stuff in the US started when the US wanted to attack Iraq in '02 to get rid of non-existent WMD's, & NATO was reluctant to engage. NATO thought it was a bad idea; NATO was right. This butthurt a lot of US citizens, because they hate to be proven wrong.

@bungarsargon The other take is that none of the European leaders support the war that the US and Israel started. However, in the interests of restoring peace and harmony they have to try and help clean up Trump and Netanyahu’s mess.

It is precisely because President Trump was willing to put Europe on blast that they showed up. On behalf of the American taxpayer, Trump takes it personally when they freeload off us—while having the absolute chuztpah to simultaneously sneer at everything that makes us great.
Batya Ungar-Sargon@bungarsargon

Like the Democrats, our European allies are enjoying the fruits of a mission they freely admit is in the world’s best interest—ridding the world of the threat of a nuclear Iran—but want the privilege of freeloading off the benefits of that mission while complaining about it. @Gaijin_Markus @PineappleT01 @realtimsharp "All you numbskulls ..." The numbskulls are the ones who listen to a single government puppet and assume all they say is true. Cross reference your sources and include independent analysis. When you do that, the "Why Iran had to be NOW" argument falls apart quickly.

This is correct confirmed by the government findings last year also and since 2003. Their most advanced rocket is capable a delivery of 800 miles. The best they could hope for is blowing the Middle East up. A nuke detonation in that region guarantees fallout will hit almost every Muslim country there. In the inside track they ought have a delivery system in about a decade ,rocket capacity in about 15 yrs to even reach the eastern seaboard. All you numbskulls simply don't know how shit works and what it takes to make such things.

@Gabriel30697321 @HemmaMMM @Bushra1Shaikh About a third of the New Testament references or quotes the Old, which is far more than the Quran. A skeptic could easily use the word "plagarized" to describe the NT. Muslims don't, because we understand that all three religions are one continuous thread of revelation.

@Gabriel30697321 @HemmaMMM @Bushra1Shaikh No contradictions. Different context. Muhammad was the "first of the muslims" in that he was distinguishing himself from idolaters. The disciples of Jesus' context was declaring their own submission to god. Thanks for playing. Pro Tip: Work on your own contradictions.

@HemmaMMM @Bushra1Shaikh Islam is a complete disaster. When there are contradictions in the Qur’an, one has to rely on Tafsir, which was written 700 years after the Qur’an by scholars, more than 1,200 years after the Bible. These scholars were not prophets, but ordinary Muslims.
