With deep gratitude and heartfelt appreciation, we’re announcing the departure of David Garfunkel in mid-April as our founding President & CEO as he transitions into a new role in the community. David’s leadership, heart and dedication have shaped LIFT JAX in the past five years. His impact on our organization and the Eastside neighborhood will be felt long beyond his tenure. Our current COO, Travis Williams, will assume the role of Interim CEO upon David’s departure — his experience, outstanding leadership and ties to the neighborhood make him well-prepared to step into this role and continue our work OutEast.

😮‍💨🧠 This has to be the most unique grant opportunity I have ever seen in my ten years as a grant writer, so excited to assemble my team!

Orators shared communications from the federal government from the lobbying process at the nations capital and shared that the president’s staff said “we believe in Jacksonville” Here for it all ✨💜

This award is fast-forwarding the project by decades, the largest one-time federal grant the City of Jacksonville has ever received. It is truly a big celebration, we were #6 of about 130 applications that were awarded from a competative pool of more than 600 cities nationwide.

Hard to describe the feeling of this: our beautiful city gathering for Mayor Deegan holding a press conference at PHX-JAX Arts District to celebrate a historic move for Duval.
