@KVKitsme @o1_labs @minacryptocom @MinaProtocol Also, regarding the Mastermind example: the state expansion from 8 to 32 (via Mesa) shows how much more you can do on-chain. But for AI-agent coordination, you’ll likely want off-chain storage, since these systems tend to require much larger data storage.

@KVKitsme @o1_labs @minacryptocom @MinaProtocol Yes! this is possible if the agent logic is known upfront. You can encode that logic into circuits and compose everything into a single zkApp on Mina. If the agent behavior is dynamic, a zkVM is a better fit since it can handle more flexible execution.

The Mesa upgrade will bring significant improvements to @minaprotocol. With state fields increasing from 8 to 32, zkApps will be able to store 4x more data on-chain. What does this mean? 🤔 In our Mastermind Level 2 example, we show what this unlocks: complete game history stored on-chain, eliminating trust in user interfaces and manual tracking. This isn’t just limited to games, and will allow developers to build trustless applications that manage complex state. Think: on-chain reputation systems, verifiable credential histories, or any app where the full state trail matters.

I often wonder if I'm in the wrong industry. Take SpaceX for example. They send a rocket to Mars? Humanity advances. They fail to send one and blow it up? Humanity learns a lesson and advances. All outcomes lead to progress. In contrast, crypto is a damn casino for dum-dums (apologies to the select few). Number go up? Yay, when lambo. Number go down? Lives get wrecked. Where's the contribution to humanity? Yes, it takes time to "build a new monetary system". For sure... but how about we make a few useful things along the way? Everyone is so focused on becoming the next V that nobody wants to build useful stuff, everyone's in it for value extraction. I don't really see *why* this system should not collapse? What would we lose in the grand scheme of things? All crypto achieved was a huge value transfer, but I fail to see any value creation thus far. Mind you, making it big by luck and moving your funds into some non crypto venture is not a success story for crypto. It at best is a success story for a philanthropic lucky person, but more likely a simple diversification of said person. IMO it's past time this industry creates something genuinely useful that people want to use, or should just close up shop. Bitcoin at least tries (and fails) to be a safe haven asset. But the rest are all selling shovels with no gold rush in sight.

Congrats to the first Mina Navigators Season 2 grantees 🏆 @zkNoid (Lottery Game) @KaffelMahmoud (Developer Tooling) @0xStruct (Developer Tooling) 🎊🎊🎊 zkNoid is a provable gaming platform on Mina Protocol. Right now, the team is focused on launching a lottery game with real funds. This project also will integrate @zkon_network for VRF for fair selection. They plan to deploy the lottery game to mainnet this summer! Enhancements to ZK Regex in o1js. Many tooling improvements are on the way to this powerful package which aims to enable the verification of text data within a ZKP framework. Developers can leverage ZK Regex to securely verify the presence of specific text patterns without compromising data privacy, opening the door to a wide range of use cases such as secure messaging, confidential document validation, and more. Support for JSON web token (JWT) verification in o1js. JWTs are an open internet standard for representing claims securely between two parties. Because popular platforms (Apple, Facebook, Google, etc.) use OAuth/OpenID which rely on JWTs, this work sets the stage for onboarding new users to the Mina ecosystem (and crypto as a whole) by allowing them to access on-chain applications and services using their existing logins. For more information on these projects, see here → forums.minaprotocol.com/c/mina-navigat… Navigator grants are available on a rolling basis! Today, we're announcing that we're leading @eigencloud's Series B. It's exceedingly rare to come across a founder with a vision and plan that has the potential to change everything. I have come to know @sreeramkannan to be not only brilliant, but also fundamentally motivated by a vision of the future so crisp and compelling that it momentarily becomes real when you talk to him. Sreeram has what I like to call the Promethean flame; he is driven to bring a new technology to life first and foremost because of the future it will create. I first met Sreeram in 2019. At the time, he was still a professor at the University of Washington and getting started on his journey as an entrepreneur. Sreeram made a strong impression, and since then we've had many touchpoints through the years with both him and the world-class team that he has brought together. In 2022, Sreeram gave an eye-opening talk in our summer research fellowship about @eigencloud and @eigen_da, and last year, he and @soubhik_deb, EigenLayer’s head of protocol research, published a comprehensive overview of the Cryptoeconomics of Slashing on our blog. We're excited to partner with Sreeram and the whole team on building a platform that unlocks a new dimension of open innovation on top of Ethereum. Background It's difficult to appreciate the full breadth of EigenLayer without first zooming out: In the beginning, there was Bitcoin. It was the first example of an entire blockchain that was built for the purpose of a single application, which at the time was ostensibly payments, but since then has turned out to be more like digital gold—a store of value, albeit a volatile one. The genius of Ethereum was to unbundle the monolithic, single-app Bitcoin approach by separating consensus from the application logic that is built on top. Ethereum makes it possible for developers to write their own applications—in the form of smart contracts—that leverage the blockchain's pooled security and computational resources. This change alone unlocked a huge design space for open innovation which has led to almost everything we know and love about the space today. It means that people can now build decentralized applications without having to spin up their own blockchains. Ethereum's greater level of programmability has been a huge unlock for a whole set of applications. But, it's not without limitations. It still mandates a lot about what you can and cannot do as a developer. For example, the code you write must be compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which will continue to be a great computational model for certain applications—those that are lightweight enough to fit within Ethereum's block-size and gas limits—but not for others that might be heavier-weight or need specialized features. In an ideal world, you as a developer should have almost complete freedom. If you need to, you should be able to build a decentralized service with code for any instruction set, your own consensus mechanism, your own data propagation algorithm, your own block time and gas limits, and even your own set of hardware requirements for validators (like GPUs or trusted execution environments). You would be able to do all of that without having to spin up your own blockchain network from scratch. Instead, you would be able to build on top of the already decentralized and secure validator set of the most secure programmable blockchain: Ethereum. Enter EigenLayer EigenLayer is a set of smart contracts on Ethereum that creates a two-sided marketplace for raw cryptoeconomic security: On the demand side, it allows creators of custom decentralized services to write code that effectively extends the functionality of Ethereum. And, on the supply side, validators participating in Ethereum consensus—if they happen to have the capacity and required hardware—can opt into running each of those decentralized services by restaking their ETH to them. The net result is that EigenLayer is a decentralized and market-based mechanism for extending Ethereum’s capabilities. The implications of this are profound. We believe that, by further unbundling cryptoeconomic security from the EVM, EigenLayer has the potential to unlock 100x faster innovation on technologies like consensus mechanisms, novel virtual machines, decentralized oracles, bridges, and networks with specialized hardware in the same way that Ethereum unlocked 100x faster innovation at the application logic level by introducing smart contracts. We're very excited to partner with Sreeram and team to help them bring this vision to life.

When I first saw the bitwise gadgets from #o1js operate directly on 32-bit fields, I had the intuition that it could make a very efficient SHA256 circuit and that was my idea during @__zkhack__ hackathon in Istanbul. But damnn, I didn't think it's gonna be more than 50X faster🤯
