So the title race would’ve been done and dusted and Arsenal would’ve won the title comfortably if City hadn’t benefited from a wrong decision, absolutely scandalous. Basically, PGMOL manufactured a title race that shouldn’t have existed. Funny how the entire football world stays quiet about that, yet they’re quick to scream when Arsenal got a correct decision their way against Westham.

Didn’t Slot already try this Jones/Szoboszlai alternating between RW gimmick earlier in the season and it looked horrible then too. Ngumoha RW, Gakpo LW, Jones/Szoboszlai false 9, is the play. Gakpo is not good at striker (or LW) either btw, his timing of movement is horrible.

Just because there have been other contentious incidents at corners this season... Some involving Arsenal... It doesn't mean yesterday's wasn't a foul. Every incident has to be refereed on it's own merits. We can't be saying "Team A got away with one last week, so I won't give them this." Everyone is frustrated when there are blatant inconsistencies in refereeing, but EVERY incident has to be looked at fresh, without any bias or factoring in past history.

Pretty simple, really. The EPL has allowed grappling, blocking, physical contests between attackers and defenders at set pieces all season. Adjudicating of these moments is inconsistent. But one thing you can’t do, is put your arm across the keeper so that he can’t jump. Being close to the keeper, blocking them, surrounding them and making it difficult to to get to the ball is ever-present. But putting your arm across them, holding them down and impeding their jump in any way, is clearly illegal. It was never a goal. Right decision.
