@JILTECHMSP @BenPielstick This. It's not like everyone is gonna switch to using AI, even if it's quicker. The satisfaction you get from doing something yourself using skills you learned gives way more satisfaction than watching some algorithm do everything for you.

@BenPielstick It's not doomed. I truly believe anything art or art adjacent will survive AI. My reasoning is simple. Human intelligence is not replicable. Describing what you want something to look like vs drawing it entirely by hand is going to give you a totally different thing.

Game development is doomed. I don't know how else to put this. I'm sure this doesn't make sense to most people, especially non-developers, but what is now possible in a single prompt with AI is utterly nonsensical. This is far from the best model that will be released this year.

Shouldn’t the steering wheel be turned to the left here?
I know older cars like this can have a bit of steering play or alignment issues in real life, but this still looks a little odd to me. Maybe I’m missing something, though?

GTA 6 is COOKED. Watch Dogs 1 (2014 btw) has fake 3D interiors and GTA 6, the biggest, most expensive video game in the world, still has 2D jpgs. YIKES!

Day 4 of building GTA 6 with a loop of AI agents.
where it's at:
- The character's got a model. so does every NPC.
- Cars have models now
- They're starting to move. actual driving
- Traffic rules are showing up.
- Performance jumped
and there's a stack of pull requests I haven't merged yet.
Agent is still looping. PRs are still open.

We've got: - NPCs walking around - cars on the road - shadows and reflections that finally look right - weapons - phones with Instagram in it wait. imagine we wire those in-game phones to real X accounts. You drive past someone and their actual timeline is sitting on their phone. The agents are still looping. Tell me what features you guys want I will add it in there
